Penetrated the rib cage and grenaded. Made absolute mush of the vitals. No BS, Hog wash, or guff. Last edited by WYcoyote; 12/18/12.

rta48 Campfire Regular R Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 878	Guys, I don't have the long range experience that some here have and I have only killed 1 animal (whitetail doe) with a Berger VLD. But that doe was at 658 yards, I used a 140 grain .284 Berger started at about 3050. Broadside lung shot, small entry and the lungs were just turned to jelly for lack of a better term. Off course no exit and found on tiny fragments. Going to using that same combo this weekend, I hope to have the same results but I hope to not be shooting that far. LOL Randy

Funny, all my shoulder meat ends up in the "canning/jerky/stew/burger" bucket when I butcher mine. I'm lining up a gig shooting crop damage for a farmer and I'm seriously considering running some Bergers out of my '06, just can figure which weight. I'm thinking something a little heavier than the 155's but not sure yet.

Just for $hits and giggles. I have seen what a 100 gr partition and 100 TSX can do.\ From a 243.
