The congested metro sink holes make policy for the rural areas as if they did not exist.
That has been Michigan's dilemma for years. It makes me sick to live in a outdoor state where the lives of rural folk are sheep-herded around by academia "thinkers" unschooled by real world experience, affluent urban sheeple ignorant of rural ways, and the voting block minions of compromised non-producers sucking on the government teat.
Am sorry to see the infection spread in Colorado... Well said.

The best way to punish Colorado is stay home next hunting season or go to another state. Money talks , especially a lack of of it going to the State Yeah but we would be punishing the guys who need our business and not the hippie counterculture. That said I would not go there again ever and I have a lot of Deer and Elk preference points built up in Co and WY.

I'd rather have Rino Roberts making the decision than an Obama appointee. This very group of "conservative and rino" Justices have delivered 2 of the biggest second amendment wins in the SCOTUS to date. I really wish people would stop the doom and gloom with this, you simply cannot draw a comparison between the Obamacare decision and a 2nd Amendment issue. The court has continuously ruled in our favor on this and the makeup has not changed. What people need to be worried about is that one of the justices dies or retires and Obama gets to nominate a Justice before these issues are heard by the court. Lets get this thing settled NOW!

I thought it only passed the house and still has to go to the senate? Aren't state senates usually more liberal than state houses? Not in Kentucky or Indiana, both states have "R" Senates in control, and both are a good deal more conservative than the state houses.

I am a Mesa County resident and have never written in to your office before today. Put me in the camp that is slapping their collective heads that this bill was even drafted. Anyway, thank you for picking up on the unabashed hypocrisy that the "Magpro Rider" represented in the bill. I was just making that same point to some colleagues. I would have more respect for the other side if they would just have owned up and stood behind their principles that anything and everything to do with "evil magazines" is bad. But to say "well, we do want your tax revenue, we just don't want to foster an environment friendly to your business" is the very definition of political hypocrisy. Corruption driven by money, while it may fall within the letter of the law, is still corruption. And voters like me care.

From what I understand, there is an incredibly slim chance of turning some of the Democrats in the CO senate. They are getting a lot of pressure from the White House to pass this and a lot of pressure from the people of CO to vote against. This will point out that their true loyalty lies to the party. Just like in the Soviet Union.
