Depending on where you go, .40 seems reasonably available - 9mm not at all, unless you pay stupid prices for it - like say $229 for 250.

I'm whinding down my gun/reloading stock.( Age related.) Have a friend who has a small gun shop. He can't get many items in demand. I went through my stocks and took a hand cart full of ammo/ projectiles and primers to him. Sold them to him at wholesale prices and still walked out with $2,749. He's now the only dealer in the area with the wanted items.

32ACP, 380, .40 and .17HMR based on the last two days of visiting a few shops and a Farm and Fleet.

Locally, I can still get a few boxes of 9mm, 40 S&W, and .45 ACP - all Win White Box. The store also has a few boxes of .270 Win and some shotgun shells.
At Sportsman's Warehouse in SLC last week they had quite a few rifle cartridge options (except .223 and 7.62x39) and some high-dollar defensive ammo for most common center fire handgun cartridges - though only a very few boxes of each. Plinking/target ammo was almost totally nonexistent. They did have a little .17 HMR and .22 WMR options. Not a single .22 LR to be found.
