I have a little bit (could only round up eight cartridges) of VorTex TSX loaded 223 ammo for you, and I tried EVERYONE and EVERYWHERE for more. Those eight rounds of Barnes TSX's should be enough to get you a piggie or two with. At typical pig hunting/shooting ranges I am sure they will be close enough to POI in your rifle to work just fine. I also have on hand a couple hundred rounds of ammo loaded with 62gr soft points and 55gr Hornaday Interlock bullets. Not near as good as the Barnes tipped ammmo, but any would work fine on a meat hog at moderate range.

Hoghunter4/Ken

I have a green milsurp ammocan chocked absulutely FULL of 10mm auto ammunition. Mostly 180gr flat nosed FMJ's, but also some Hornaday HP loads and maybe 125 rounds or so of my secret weapons lab 10mm loads, 180gr Gold Dots or Hydrashocks at a full 1375fps, mostly in brand new nickel plated cases. If you were serious when you mentioned needing some, I can hook you up. Also bringing a 300 year old Malaysian KRIS wavy blade war sword in its original wooden sheath that I thought you might enjoy at least looking at, if not getting it from me in some kind of trade/swap.

DANGIT, I am 8 hours from home now, and just realized that I forgot to bring my shotgun! I have a pretty well customized Benelli SBE that I was goinig to bring. RATS! Dagnabbit!

I wanted to do a little shotgun shooting with ya'll, but all I have for a scattergun is a Benelli Super M-2 20 guage with the coforttech stock. The stock adjusting shims for that one are set up all wrong for me, I am bringing it as swap meet fodder.

Cannot believe I left my SBE at home..... sigh. Oh well, I can run the trap machine or whatever kind of pigeon throwers are there for you all.

I am not the owner of this gun, and am no Benelli expert even though my only personal shotgun is a Benelli SBE but my understanding of the Benelli Super M-2 is the comfort tech recoil absorbing stock and a few other engineering improvements. Shim adjustable stock, too.

Yes, the shims can be re set for many different comb height and Right or Left offset (cast) settings with the shim kit that is supplied. My Pastor and good freind bought this and set it up for himself to shoot lefthanded so the stock cast is way off for me or about any other righthanded shooter at the moment but can be re set easily for many different body types and shooting styles.

Normal retail for these, and this one is in its Benelli supplied hardcase with ALL the tools, manuals, chokes, shims etc, is $1200 but Owen told me I could sell this one for only $850, which is quite a steal for so nice of a shotgun.

Just finished talking to Alan, who owns the Wilderness. It looks like everything is in place again for too much fun. He said the pavilion and grill are ready to go, but the fireplace may not be. He's going to try to have it ready for us. If it isn't, we can do what we did last year and have the fire surrounded by rocks. One way or another, we'll have a campfire.

I'm leaving early on Tuesday, and will get there that afternoon. I did this last year and it worked out pretty well. Anything that is not right can get fixed before everyone shows up.

Bob, I told Alan that the meat shipment would arrive on Monday. He said he would look out for it, and open it up when it arrives to determine how it has to be thawed out. He said he has a cooler with fans that does this quite well. And I'll check it out when I get there on Tuesday.

Looking forward to seeing both the old and new faces.

I'm bringing some stuff to sell. A left hand Remington 700 heavy barrel 22-250, a Ruger #1 V in 6mm, some Hornady dies, and a bunch of 22-250 ammo.

Have not figured out the pricing yet, but should have it by the time I get there.

And ET, I have the primers for your nephew.

It sure looks like this group is going to have a fun and interesting time at the Wilderness next week. After reading your post from last years hog hunt and following this post I booked a hunt five weeks from now to celebrate my sons 21st birthday day which is the first part of April. I am also bringing along a few friends as well if you all could piss off a great big hog for my son he wants to prove what a stud he is for the old man.

Interesting tactic, sinking to the level of the person you detest...

It's kind of silly attempting to make a point of somebody's behavior by taking on that behavior....crazy

Do what ya gotta do, I guess.... smirk
