Buy all of the J.M.B. designed/patented guns & keep them out of competitors hands. To think Winchester paid 8k for a combo deal on the 1885 & 1886 designs. Lots of money then, but would he have ever thought 1 rifle would sell for this?? Very nice indeed!!! We all need to crawl before we walk, so that we can appreciate the Mossbergs of life.

My saddle rifle on my MT Ranch was an 86 SRC in 45-90. Back then they still brought a good bit more than the standard rifles. I've sold most but the 45-90 and a few 86 rifles now. Loggah Campfire Outfitter L Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 9,102 new hampshire	Chris, the little dings and dents in the wood could easily happen,the case colors will stay sharp as long is it is kept out of sunlight ,and artificial light. the wood dings can be made in a few minutes of careless handling.
