Cool, I just took Gordy Gritters courses and am thinking about starting to play with bench, however I really took the classes so I could start building my own. The only problem is I learned enough to keep mr busy for quiet a while on my hunting rifles so its going to be a while - heck of a good course though.
Thanks, and Congrats again, nice group.

I cut my long range teeth with Gordy in Pella for 9 years until the club lost the range. Brownells was supposed to build a 1K range where we could still hold IBS matches, but that never materialized.

I've banged steel at 1K with a good friend's .50 BMG McMillan with Nightforce. That was fun. The best I ever did with my 6.5-284 deer rifle was 4.5" at 600 yds. with Z5 turret. Thought that was pretty cool.
But what you did at 1K is off the charts cool. From what I've learned, 600 yds. is one thing, 1K is an entirely different animal, with so much that can happen in that last 400 yds.
Hats off to you, Al.

When its time to fight, you fight like you are the third monkey on the ramp to get on Noah's Arc... and brother, it is starting to rain!

Naturally, with there being two classes, I had to have a gun for the Heavy Gun class: Same specs as the Light gun, except the stock is a solid pour, and this barrel being a 28" straight 1.250", but I have two new ones that are 1.350" tapering to 1.100" at 29" waiting in the wings. While not as heavy as a lot of the guns out there, it comes in at a cool 28 pounds.

At least you can carry your heavy gun without help. No kidding..... The neat thing is at Mn, we shooting both guns back to back on the same bench. All I have to do is slide my Light out and slide the Heavy back in, then set back and watch all the grunting and groaning everyone's doing switch to their Heavies.
