Over the years, I have always tossed my spent primers and
damaged brass into a large can.
When the can was full the plan was to send it off in the trash.

The other day I had some aluminum cans to scrap and I happened to be going by my bench so I grabbed my "brass" can.

I didn't get much for the big bag of aluminum cans, but that 14.5 # can of brass scored $21 and change smile

Cool ....gotta start doing the same myself.
Not only nice getting a couple bucks but maybe it will make its way back someday instead of filling a landfill.

I've been wondering about that myself. I weighed mine the other day and have 19 pounds of it in a bucket...

I gave up bullet casting a few years ago, sold my moulds and other equipment, and got $800.00 for the lead I had accumulated over the years. I also save my bad brass, spent primers and .22 rimfire brass from my shooting shack. A trip to the scrapyard every year or two pays for a tank of gas.

Been doing that for a few years now. Figure it gets me a pound of powder(well it did at one time) or some primers.
