Those who are interested in our now rather regular summer gathering near Quemado, New Mexico should mark the calendar for August 9-11, 2013. All possessed of the Campfire spirit are welcome to the shootin', discussin', rememberin', and good eatin' (and fishin' for those so inclined).

I have only shot it a few times myself. I had it up and shooting with an old El Paso Weaver T-10 couple of years back. I put about 40 rounds of Federal factory 105 gr through it and it sure seemed to do well with it.
Then I sold the Weaver, and it has just sat since then.
I put a Leupold 3-9x on it tonight, and I'll get sighted in soon..

I plan to be there and Crystal is planning to come, as well. Tuning up a .22-250 for the PD shoot. I may not win, but I will be close.

I stummbled into it for an unbelievably low price, and had to bring it home. I am not typically a fan of thumbhole stocks on hunting guns, but this one is really interesting when you see up close.

I was looking for CCCC's description of the PD shoot, but I cant find it now. Basically last year it was a 1 shot coldbore match. The target was a silhouette of a prairie dog with a 1" bullseye pasted on the chest. Each shooter has their own dog and pasted bullseye. The person who was closet to the bullseye won.
One shot, cold bore from the bench.
That all said I believe dennisinaz and CCCC were planning to change it up some this go 'round.
