When you get here, I'll show you how to rope a bear if you'll pretend to be a bear.

The closest real airport with commercial service is Albuquerque.

About a 2 1/2 hour drive from there.

I'll be coming there.

If Ed will loan me the entry fee for the PD shoot contest, I'll bring my 22 250AI, or 244AI, or 204 Ruger [don't need improving] or 22 Hornet [I can't spell "K"].

We could trap a few P dogs, stake 'em out at 250 yards and shoot offhand at 'em like the Mexicans used to do with goats.

After we run out of ammo we could knock 'em in the head and cook 'em. [like the mescins used to do with goats grin ]

I am not going to volunteer myself and wheel chair as a moving target!

(I may, on the other hand, let somebody else use the wheel chair to compare the recoils of several whompers.)

Tom - thanks for the pics. Very nice - and I am partial to thumb hole stocks. If it shoots as good as it looks, this will be quite a contest.

Tom's description of the PD shoot is pretty much right on - the target dot has been a bit larger than 1/2 inch and we have done it at both 100 and 200 yards. 2013 specifics yet to be set.

A friend of mine tried his new 458 Win Mag from his wheelchair. Only 360 scope eye I ever saw.

You're never too new, too young, or (I hope!) too old to be a welcome part of this bunch.

(I'd steal one o' the young 'n's if I could ever make-up my mind which one'd be the tastiest.)

Tech Tip:

Ya'll bring enough SPOTTING SCOPES, so as to allow folks to avoid lending out theirs to the point of having none to use for their own "dialing in".

That being a no chitter.

Then maybe I oughta bring my big tripodded binocs. Ya reckon?

Somebody'll hafta haul 'em for me.

And maybe also my big coincidence range-finders Barr & Stroud (UK), Wild (Swiss), and that Swedish thing whose name I can't remember.

Nahhhhh! Nobody'll be shooting that far.

It was weird, NOBODY from out of town brought their own spotting scope to the last shoot.

NOBODY.

Borrowing 2 old local (and pretty hard run) low powered scopes was IT.

Those E. German "Big Eyes" would be an AWESOME adjunct, to the shoot proposed.
