Indoor-outdoor thermometer pair on my west wall say that it's a lot cooler out there than it is in here.

So I opened the front door (east) and kitchen window (west) to get a little cross-ventilation ("temperature-sharing"), but alas! there's no breeze.

Neither chill nor sweat here, so I've no cause to complain.

(Just sayin' how it is, in case anybody shivs a git.)

Just a shade more than five weeks to go, lads 'n' lassies, an' they'll zip by even while they seem to be draggin'.

So if you haven't made-up your mind yet and haven't started gettin' ready, do it now!

See ya!

HERE WE GO.
Shown below is the best effort at an accumulated listing (from this thread) of all who have indicated that they will be at the gathering. Those who expressed "maybe" are shown with "?". Sorry if we missed anyone - please see below. Any on the current list who can't come? Please so advise.

To add your name, kindly let us know here soon because the next step is the group PM to all listed (including "maybes". In that thread we will do our serious planning/communicating, share personal contact info, details, etc.

It seems difficult (if not impossible) to add a name to a group PM once it is established, so please chime in if you want to be included.

ALL ABOARD !!

I've PMed a special personal invitation to my several Campfire detractors and must now say it openly I'll stay home if anybody is staying away from the August festivities because of my planned presence there.

I came to this point when three of my friends told me, some time ago, that they weren't coming because three other friends of mine were planning to be among us. I'd hate to be such a stumbling block to anybody.

So far, several of those whom I invited with that private promise have removed themselves from the PM without responding. So I don't know whether they might be coming. I hope that they are.

Too bad! I'm still convinced that any one of them would add worlds more to the gathering than I can. And can enter into the fellowship and get more out of it than I can.

So the offer still holds. Just let me know privately please.

It'll be a private matter between just you and me. I promise.

My view to all.

These gatherings are not junior high school dances - no need or space for interpersonal drama. Avoid that - keep the bar high.

If you are big and mature enough to handle some differencews of views and styles, see the list and decide if you want to spend a worthwhile weekend with what have proven to be fine folks. Please leave it at that.

We have no trouble "tolerating" either kind as long as they're not too feisty!

Haven't been around one of those "sh*tkickin, backwoods NH yankee" types since the 50s when I was in college up that way. Should be nice to re-acquaint. And, if your lady really is the picture you describe, maybe you had better post the pic so we will know what one of those looks like.

We'll wait through the weekend for anyone else who wants to be on the list - probably get the PM together by next Tuesday. That'll be a month before the event.
