UPS delivered my Edge MR today, after paying Rick on the 2nd. I was worried at first because the corner of the box had been damaged and ripped open, but all was good inside. McMillan does a really nice packing job. Stock looks awesome, olive with black & tan specks. Can't believe how light it feels.

is it any quicker at all ordering straight from mcmillan? No. If you've got a common rifle then there are several dealers who have McMillan's in stock but if you want a custom finish or custom features you just have to wait.

Ordered a Classic for a friend (guy is huge, never had a stock that really fit, ever) in March for his CDL 35 Whelen.
I hope its here and I have some time to get it ready for pigs this fall.

Yup. Friend ordered one in mid-December for his annual sheep hunt. He leaves for the hunt in two weeks and still no word on his stock. That's an 8 month wait with no ETA.

That's an 8 month wait with no ETA. I don't mind the wait for a quality, custom built stock, but not being able to provide an ETA indicates a lack of understanding of your business. I totally understand level loading your schedule, but that shouldn't affect your ability to predict a delivery commitment.

And when qouted 3-4 months on a $600 stock after 6-mos it is normal to become concerned a little..

Ordered 12/1, so 7 1/2 months and counting. This is my first mcmillan, and I had a thought the other day --- how good will this stock need to be to convince me to put up with this bs and order another one? I mean, is it even possible for a rifle stock to be THAT good?

Apparently they are even behind on shipping. Got an email two weeks ago mine was ready. Paid then and now still waiting for the shipment confirmation.
Am I wrong in assuming that is pretty long just to ship something that is paid for and alsready ready to go?

They are nice, but I had one inletted for a long action when it's a short action, one friend had one with barrel channel not inletted correctly and another friend had one with the front swivel stud mounted at an angle.
Seems like as their times go up, so do the mistakes
