The loss of transition is between the brown and tan. It goes straight from black/brown to tan/white, no brown/tan transition. I wanted solid black near the recoil pad.

Then it is questionable if you received what you ordered. It almost fits the description, but have yet to see one that transitioned so quickly. Naturally up to you, but a phone call may have them come to the same conclusion.

My world consists of questioning orders. Some are flat out wrong. Some while they may be correct are out of the ordinary. We refuse the first with a phone call and do the same to verify the second.

I think I'll let it slide this time Harry. I'm disappointed in how it turned out, but maybe I should have given better instructions. Those are pretty dark/bold colors to blend well with lighter colors anyway.

Each McSwirly is different and this one is far different from any I've seen. You live and learn. I have 4 more on order and only one of those is a McFlame. I hope it turns out better than the McShitstick!

Tru dat! I had to pull a rabbit out of a hat to make mine disappear. No more swirls in my tea. Edge all the way.

I'd be grabbing some Kryolon Fusion, webbing spray, and AH-II matte clear.

Really not all that bad compared to one poor soul here that paints his rifles to look much like this.

Odd man out, I don't think it is that amusing when it cost $500. I'd be sending it back for some paint, or would paint it myself.

Oh yeah, call that one "Skid Mark".

That's not what I would have been expecting to receive based on flames I've seen posted.

"Skid Mark" is quite appropriate! Good call. So does the front end represent porcelain or tighty-whities?

Don't know what your exact instructions were, but IMO, McMillan F'd up. There's no way I would have let that out of the shop without a phone call making sure that is what you wanted.
Too much money to "settle" for less than what you wanted.
