I thought $250 to $300 was tops. If you know of them at that price then let me know. If you don't then that's not the going price. It's like people that quote the Blue Book.

The guns I would not pay "Blue Book" on are "C's, 1895 comm's and 'DL's"...other than that, let me know about any pre '60 guns under $300.

Robert, Not sure why I am bothering to respond to your posts. First I asked about orginal Guns in the condition stated at beginng of thread. Said intested if under $300. You offered me neither. You didn't come under price point and I have no idea if your offered gun even has a rear sight of any kind, much less period.

<br>Then you point to a pathetic auction gun(from collector standpoint) that is not very likely factory drill job and has sling studs installed in stock. If you wanted a shooter I suppose the starting bid would be close to reasonable.

<br>Pathetic? You're the pathetic one. It's factory D&T'd and unless it were severely butchered from improper drill bits, I wouldn't let a small matter like swivel studs deter me at the price offered.

<br> the gun being auctioned in the gunbroker ad has approx 65% case coloring on the lever. does this have anything to do with the condition of the levers camming surface?... i have seen a couple of rifles in pawnshops over the years that appeared to have the camming surface on the lever worn down, and wondered if it affected the operation of the rifle.... john

Thanks guys for the feedback on my question. I guess the value can vary a bit depending on if a person is needing that model to add to a collection. I didnt understand Roberts suggestion that a realistic price for mine was $250-300 but he would sell his for $325. This is a great website with some excellent information here.
