No, mine is a stright grip A tang safety with hooded front sight That's what I would have expected for the 7mm-08 due to the era. Remington adopted it 1980, so the 99A would have been the natural choice.

J&G Sales has a 99 in 7mm-08 for over $1,100. Maybe it's just me, but this seems like a lot of cash for a late model 99.
