I'm a bit partial to classic looks - those with "stay".
30-30 comes to mind. As do the 45 Colt, 38 Spl, etc.

I gotta cast my vote with Dave. Rest of ya don't know beauty if it kicked ya in the shins.

The Mayans had it right. If youre going to predict the future, its best to aim far beyond your life expectancy, lest you wind up red-faced in a bunker overstocked with Spam and ammo.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I had a chance to own a decent Brit SxS double rifle in 475 #2 once, and have been kicking myself in the arse every day for 15 years now for not getting it. One of my bucket list or dream guns for sure.

I am all over this idea, too. Especially the 257WBY. That one just about defines "FAST!"

Above comments notwithstanding, I think my 416 Rigby and 348WCF cartridges are pretty knarly looking, too.

300 and 375 H&H
416 Rigby, 404j
30-06, 22-250
These older cartridges are all good looking, and I just happen to have them all, so I might be biased.
Have to say when I look at my 300 and 338 RUMs , they just scream speed and power.

my two favorite are
1 6mm Rem, with a 115 grain Berger, loaded for a long action... like my Remington is set up for... darn thing looks like mini missile....

2. Second one, was a 300 H & H... guy had some at the range for a special run Stainless Ruger Number ONE he had.... he had some Remington Nickle brass in 300 H&H, with a 220 grain Round Nose loaded on them...talk about looking cool and Retro!

of course I am kind partial to the cool factor on the looks of a 7 x 57 loaded with a 175 grain RN or a 30/06 with a 220 grain RN.... and my 338/06 with a 250 grain RN...
especially in Nickle brass...

Chrome, kudos on presenting some really cool looking wildcat cartridges... I like your style..
