Still checkin in you Savages. Happy New Year to all.

Still havent gotten the stock off my F.

Mixed up some vaseline and kroil, hoping it would creep under washer without polluting the wood in the hole. It stayed put, didnt spread, but didnt help or creep.

Bought a Benzo pen butane torch to heat bottom tang, did very well. But did not budge screw. WTF.
Awesome tool, used it to repurpose a burned down candle to make emergency fire starters. $14 at HD.

Holdin pattern. May have to figure out how to drill out screw, if I can get a new one. Not sure I can.

JB Weld a 2' long piece of square stock to the head of that bolt and get a wrench on it.

I mostly read, but yap a little. Short of "Savage Savages" right now, but still have a stable of Savage/Valmets. And just got a nice Savage 220 (no suffix) .410 with the strap-iron trigger guard, which I prefer to the painted pot-metal.

Now, if I can only remember where my .410 snap cap is (if you know 219s or 220s, you KNOW why!).

And I found a decent 12 guage "Four-Tenner" at a garage sale in a trailer park not very far from Disneyland (where I have never been, and if God is Good, won't ever be!). The guy that had it didn't know what it was....it's now in the 12 guage barrel of my Savage/Valmet .222/12.

I'm Back. Sold one of my M1's hopin to pick up a couple rats or a fairly nice pre war 250. As it happens, stuff happened, and the proceeds of the M1 went to the other stuff. I think this is going to be a better year. Happy New Years to all, Joe.
