There is a left handed Sako Mannlicher on gun broker (it is in 9.3x62). It is being advertised as new. While I'm sure it is rare, the price is already over $2,500. However, it has not reached the reserve price yet. Pretty sweet rifle though. My local gunshop had one in 375 H&H 3 yrs ago. I should have bought it... Here is a link if anyone is interested: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=393753572I have nothing to do with this listing.

I stumbled across that listing last night. While the LH Steyr mentioned in the other post might be more rare than a LH Sako, I really like the thought of a LH Sako in 9.3x82. And a Mannlicher doesn't hurt...
Unfortunately, they are both out of my price range already with another 7 to 8 days left on each auction. Pretty rifles though...

That Sako is one to drool over, but that's all I could afford to do.

Awesome rifle; just the thing for moose hunting in Sweden. Needs a nice 3X Leupold in low Sako mounts and it would be ready. Bob

Wow I think that's the first left handed mannlicher of any brand I've seen. Very cool and too rich for my blood
...on earth as it is in Texas.

For those of you that have this rifle (or a similar one) what type of scope would you recommend for one chambered in 308?

It should be small and light, otherwise it would overpower the trim rifle. Straight tube scopes have their fans, but they do not gather enough light for me. Leupold would be where I started looking because their scopes are small and light. A fixed 4x, a 2-7x, or a 2.5-8x would be at the top of my list.

Leupold 2.5x8 , or straight Leupold 6 power
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.
