that as you've gotten into your 70's that you seem to stumble more and almost lose your balance for no reason? I surely have.

You waited until your 70's? Late bloomer....

i'll be 68 in july, and I already have that. whatever it is. lol

That was my late 20's.


Then I eased back on the hard stuff.

I just crawl.
Less bruises.

I have noticed I am not as steady and I am barely in myt 60s.

Mickey, can you tell us something good about getting older?

Sure can. You don't care if you're around women or not. Believe me, that can be a blessing.

I'm just 65 so I just have my geezer learners permit. In Idaho you can't get the full geezing license until 70. At 65, though, I do notice some lack of balance. I sure can't walk across a 6" log over a creek like I used to or climb over loose rocks without a hiking stick.

In addition to the age factor this damnable chemo I am on has me moving around like a [bleep] on speed.

I did that a lot in my 20's, but i believe to many drinks may have contributed to it

There are exercises for that. Dad used to do them. It helped.

I sure do. Balance is not what it use to be and I am sure not as agile as I use to be.. Falls are the number cause of injuries to seniors

Back in my 30s, I had occasional bouts of serious vertigo probably caused by or related to my lifelong tinnitus. It took me off flight status eventually. My balance has actually improved a bit in recent years but I still get a rare ton o'bricks vertigo spell. It's embarrassing to violently throw oneself to the side while walking.

I tend to stay away from the edge of the Grand Canyon and things like that.

Get a walking stick.

I'm 61 and use a staff when hiking nowdays.
When I started falling on my arse, it was time for a 6' staff to help me balance on steep trails.
Has save me from falls many times.

Think if we knew we going to get this old, we'd have taken better care of ourselves?

After 75 aint nothing easy, trouble is life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer to the end you get the faster it goes, Wobbley too!

My next birthday will be number EIGHTY and yes, I have noticed that strange happening. My fishing/backpacking trips in the Beartooths are not as stable as they used to be so for the last three years I have been using ski poles for walking sticks. They help a lot but no need for anything like that on level ground, thank God.

There's an ancient cure for this old age problem stay seated.
