Gentlemen and Lynn,

Dad had a full body scan today which was actually just the Dermatologist looking over his whole body with a magnifying device. The doctor didn't find any other lesions he was worried about at all. He took a plug from the one spot he has and said the tumor appeared to be very thin which is a good thing and that the diameter of the actual malignant part was approximately 2mm's. He scheduled Dad with a surgeon to remove the tumor and surrounding tissue. They will then examine the tumor to see how thick it actually is and determine from there what if anything needs to be done. He told Mom and Dad he had a good feeling that the cancer has not spread and that he will be able to totally remove it.

Good news. I pray that a small surgery will rid him of all the cancer.

LPB, I had this on my chest several years ago. They will just shoot that area full of pain killers, cut out a football shape of skin, then sew it up. I drove home afterwards.
Don't worry. Best kind to get if your going to get any kind of cancer.

Sounds like this is how it should play out, I hope so. Thanks

Certainly Les, for you, your dad and family.
Cancer sucks. Prayers that all of it is gone when they remove the one.

An update on my Dad. He is having the melanoma removed as well as one lymph node under his left arm that the surgeon thinks is a little enlarged on April 1. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank You All...
