I've been thinking about building something in 6.5 for a while just not sure which direction I want to go, have been reading all about the saum and the hype that surrounds it, and it seems to have good accuracy and barrel life considering all things,I'm not a big fan of neck turning, but maybe the new brass will not need it, just have to wait and see, the Creedmoor sounds good, but I'm looking more at a hunting round...not that the Creedmoor isn't up to the task!

Rick, suprised your not toying with the 6.5 saum, sure seems to be right up your alley! When you have a .264 Winchester or a Creedmoor, you have your bases I get 2925 in the Creedmoor with 43.5 grains and 3250 with the .264 and 77 grains What load/barrel length are you using to get 2925 with a 140gr bullet out of a Creedmor?

26" barrel. 139 Scenar. 43.5 grains of the slowest-burning lot of H-4350 I've ever had
When it's gone, gonna try Ramshot Hunter after seeing it has an approximate burn rate.

Gap's are crap, nothing more than Chinese Pot metal,
Rock barrels, construction grade Re-bar with a nominal hole called a "bore", made in Wisconsin,
Insanity.
You need to dump that anchor, .308s suck ginormously more,
Dump em, Quickly, to the first lefty that comes to your mind.

That's about what I was getting with the last lot of powder that was faster burning.

Keep me in the loop on your Hunter experiments.
I have lots and a 260.

Ran it to 45.5 grains in a Creedmoor with a 24" barrel and got 2850 with the 140 A-Max

any data with the 123 AMAX or Secnar? Nope. None first hand, but it shouldn't be hard to find in development. The Ramshot site has data as well

any data with the 123 AMAX or Secnar? I'm getting 2950 and no pressure signs with my 23" barreled 260, 123 Scenars, and both H4350 and H4831sc. Best accuracy for me has been with the 4831 but the 4350 is pretty good too. Fed 210s.
