We got something heading our way starting late tonight into late Friday.
North could see up to a foot of wet snow. Think our area is going to see mainly freezing rain. It is getting old.

we got 6" today, wet stuff too. hopefully we have a wet spring. it's a little tougher on the birds, but our native prairie plantings could use the moisture.

Great! Bill,I applied for MN moose for few years with a guy from work and wasn't drawn. It's a once-a-lifetime deal here. Last year there was no season due to low numbers. DNR hasn't said what the plan is yet for this year. The Bois Forte Injus did say they're not going to hunt them though.

I bought a Marlin guide gun in 450 marlin, just to go moose hunting. shortly after, they canceled moose season.

It was snowing when I left home but when I got to the cities, it wasn't. Could get anywhere from 5-18" of snow. Great!

Snowed some over night, but most of it melted already. They're calling for up to 3" of snow here when it's finally over Friday night. As I said earlier we'll see mostly freezing rain.
The area North of Hiway 8 could get well over a foot of snow.

1-3" here is the forecast. really, you guys can have it.
I shot a moose in Minnesota in 1987. 44 1/2" bull. It wasnt that great of a hunt though as we saw it from the road and drove up and shot it. But it was a moose, it was a bull, and it was in MN.

Mid 80's we had tons of meece. The Felton refuge was full of 'em. When I first started deer hunting, I hunted in that area and it was not uncommon to run into a few moose on deer drives. Now there is nuthin. It sucks.
What would MN have to do to bring the moose back? Transplant them?
Ryan should be able to answer that. He's a Marine Biologist...

Ryan should be able to answer that. He's a Marine Biologist... Rumor has it the population increased from last year to this year. The DNR wasn't sure if they mis-counted last year or the pop. grew. That said, the Bois Forte tribe declined to hunt them this coming fall. So I'm guessing there won't be a hunt for the common folk either. But we can still hope.
