Squirrels and head shots only for me too!

Also shooting a swinger target at 200 yds. There is definitely a delay after you see the hit for the "clank" to come back to you.

Killing snapping turtles in our stock tanks at the Ranch. Bastids will eat all your fish in a hurry if you let them get in one of my fishing holes. Pretty sporting if your head shooting them with a handgun.
I like to use my Kimber 1911 Match 22 LR from the Custom Shop.

Gophers for me too. Just this spring I found a HOT SPOT and shooting an hour a day for a week or so I managed to dispatch 300+. Great fun with a Rimfire.

Squirrel hunting and general plinking. But I'd like to get back to woodchuck hunting with a .22. Haven't done it in years but it's how my dad and his buddies got started back in the late 1930's. Gotta stalk to about 50 yards or less and pop 'em with a head shot. It's challenging and fun. I still enjoy using a high power centerfire varmint rifle from a couple hundred yards or more but the "old way" is still fun, also. I've even used my late father's Winchester Model 67 bolt action single shot on a few. Almost any decent 22 LR round will work on head shots at those ranges. I've chalked up quite a few just using CCI Blazers in several different 22's.

I shoot crows, Eastern Gray Squirrels, rats, and raccoons closer to home.

1000 miles from here I have shot marmots and ground squirrels with a 22.

Gotta be sage rats in the high desert of Oregon. Rock chucks a pretty close second.

Squirrels...but it is a lot of fun to go to the public range after guys have been shooting trap and shoot shotgun wads off the ground off hand(no rest that would take the fun out of it).

Have not hunted in a darn long time. Back then, a scoped Marlin 99M1 did a good job for me punching squirrels between the eyes. But, these days I do enjoy regularly taking my single shot target BSA model 12 Martini to range to shoot 50 yd groups. Have five or so other 22 rifles, some darn old, some new that I occasionally take to range to enjoy.

It's been a while but one of my fondest memories of childhood was shooting rats in the rice fields out by the Sacramento airport.. My uncle knew the landowner and we would cruise up the levee at night with a guy on the spotlight and blast away.... Then turn around and come do it again, all night long.
People eventually screwed it up tho and it came to an end:(

She never made it past the bedroom door, what was she aiming for...?
She's gone shootin..
