Attempted this on a l961 Ford Workmaster tractor. Got it 90% finished and ran out of steam. Still unfinished after sitting untouched for two years. Start these projects early in life or they may outlive you. GW

I love flatties, but they don't work s well for 6'6" fat guys... I notched the fenderwells, and moved the seat back about 4"...made a big difference. CJ6 is what I am on the lookout for now. I will finish the 5, then when a 6 comes up, I can transfer everything over to it except the rear drive shaft. That old flatty, got transformed to this...

I have kinda bounced the fender notching idea around my noggin a bit, but never really went anywhere with it. CJ6s are cool. If I stumbled on one for a decent price, I might think about picking it up. Or a CJ8, but they're even more expensive than first gen Broncos.
