A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”
Herr Rommel had a bout of Masticatory Myositis, an autoimmune disorder that attacks the jaw muscles. Treatment is HEAVY doses of steroids, which really screwed him up.but he's back to 99.9%

Yellow one was an outstanding bird dog. God I miss her. Chocolate is still here. How I don't know. Coughs like a Swisher Sweet smoker, has a throat problem she is on steroids for. Til she isn't happy we will trudge on.
A friend over in OR's mom had that mix. (pretty little female) One of the best dogs I've ever been around. I'd take one in a heart beat if they're all like that.
Don't have dogs any more. We had as many as 5 Scotties at one time, in the past though. This laddie is my daughter's pup, Mr. McDougal. As pretty a scottie as you would ever want to see.

I have a picture just like that of my dog from the late 1980s (a Pitbull mix). She loved to swim out to the middle of the lake to retrieve thrown sticks. I didn't realized till years later that the lake we did that in was known to harbor alligators.
Campfire needs more threads like this and ones with family rather than the political and religious bllschit...
Giblets, my ESS...oh how he loves hunting (and swimming).
He also apparently is a Rockchuck retriever. Nailed this one off a rock at 162 yards and fell into thick brush. Gibs ran right in and pulled the stinky carcass out! I told him, uh...thanks?
It ain't what you don't know that makes you an idiot...it's what you know for certain, that just ain't so...
Most people don't want to believe the truth~they want the truth to be what they believe.
