This is a funny thread.....I sell tattoo removal lasers to derms, plastics and medical spa offices. It's funny to hear the thoughts and stereotypes. Tattoo removal is a huge business, revenues have grown 440% this year and continue to grow. An estimated 45mil Americans have tats. The ones getting them removed are the moms who have a child and no-longer think their back-tat is a good idea, or the dad who wants his ankle frat-tat removed, or the teenage daughter who got a tat during spring break. Those are the people that will pay for laser tattoo removal and will show up every 8 weeks to get it zapped...x8-10 treatments
Tattoo removal has come a long way in the last 10+yrs. We can remove a tattoo in shorter period of time, not encapsulate the ink in scar tissue and treat every color tattoo ink out there. If you are thinking about having a tat removed, I can tell you, tattoo removal lasers are not created equal and most of the efficacy is in the hands of the user.

I like the little lawnmower guy on the back of the mans head. I don't like it enough to get my own though.

I know a guy here who has a bunch of small squiggles on his face and hands. They're nothing, just dark blue marks. They look like he and his buddies did them themselves while stoned or drunk. Not surprisingly, he works at minimum wage jobs.

Leviticus 19:28:
"You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the LORD." What I do with my body is between myself and the Good Lord and no one else. I do, and will do, the answering for my life, no one else. Pretty much sums up my take on the whole religion thing. Love these tattoo threads, almost as good as 270 vs 7mm-08 threads. Always good for multiple pages.

Many of the Mosaic laws were to keep the people from engaging in pagan religious practices. The local religions were totally evil. They used tattoos as a form of worship for their pagan gods.
Another example is God's command to not boil a kid in it's mother's milk. That was a fertility ritual practiced by the Canaanites and God wanted them to avoid it. The Jews took that command and ran with it, blowing it up to way beyond God's intent. It evolved into the current practice among Kosher Jews of having separate kitchens for the preparation of foods with meat and milk.

I had thought the Mosaic Law had been superseded as well.
