Bigstick post pics of what he does while others come up with excuses. Bigstick has some pretty good you tube videos on shooting as well. He doesnt bother me maybe because i dont ask stupid questions. +1, and I find it funny how many people get there panties in bunch over what he says! Hey looks like they are dragging me pinon canyon I'll be there, no desire to though, especially since it sounds like we will be lacking money for parts...

Why tolerate the guy or guys that have zero to offer? I the case of Stick, the whole thread is a bad misnomer, because he has lots to offer and does, but you have to read close. miles

Just wondering, since I'm relatively new here, why certain folk (one guy in particular) are allowed to wander from topic to topic spewing insulting language, thinly disguised profanity, and generally meaningless drivel. A few other forums I frequent would sideline them for periods of from weeks to months, or forever.
Just sayin... Mommy told me to grab my toys and come home when bullies are around. Whether "someone" is insulting, or not insulting... whether they are contributing or not contributing isn't really that important to me. What is extremely entertaining is the fact that we have a thread about someone(s) that you disagree with. And the fact that apparently you can't handle a little shhit being flicked at others. Heaven forbid shhit gets flicked when someone says something stupid. If you read carefully, the shhit don't get flicked haphazardly. And it isn't coming from just one person. Its the difference between the Fire and other sites. Many other sites are full of BS info. Mommy gives a timeout to anyone that tries to set people straight. So would you prefer BS info getting "offered" uncontested or would you care to hang with fellas that can flick some shhit now and then and keep things in check? Just need to harden up a little bit. It's interesting that you say that, 4th. Since I started this chat, and since Big Stick has been defended by a few folks, I took more interest in seeing what he'd had to offer on other subjects. And yes, he seems to know quite a bit, and offers up more than just insults, though he obviously enjoys belittling people more than helping them.
It isn't that I can't handle the muck being spread. It's more that I had to ask why the moderator allows it. It brings nothing positive to this forum, and brings (at times) a good bit of negative. Earlier I had said that nobody dominates this forum. I was wrong. It's Big Stick. Losing him from this forum would most likely be more positive than negative. It's not my call, but if it was, and if he couldn't be civil, I'd bounce him out of here.
Anyway, I'll stick around (no pun intended), and I'll offer info when I can or choose to.

Just need to harden up a little bit. Pussification of American men is happening in front of our eyes. God help us. Talking with other men, who all share the same interests (hunting, shooting, outdoors, etc.) in a 'decent' manner isn't "pussification". There's nothing 'manly' about bein' a prick...regardless of how much knowledge one has about hunting, shooting, reloading, etc.. There always will be greater and lesser persons than each of us. Some have much more knowledge and experience than many of us when it comes to the things that we all have a common interest in (hunting and shooting and such)...while others have less knowledge and experience than many of us regarding the same things. Those who have more knowledge and experienced shouldn't be revered...and those who have less knowledge and experience shouldn't be looked down on. Much of the interaction here between men would not happen in a hunting camp, for a variety of reasons. Birdwatcher posted this in another thread within the last day or two, "...on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." What he posted was appropriate regarding the issue at hand on that thread...and it's appropriate here as well. There is a ton of knowledge and experience among the members on this board regarding shooting, hunting, reloading, gun smithing, knife making...and just about anything else. It's nice to be able to access that knowledge and experience. And it'd be even nicer to be able to do so without so much of the extraneous BS (insults and such) that are pretty common here...that are not common in hunting camps or in the field. With our common interests, you'd think there'd be more camaderie and less discord here...like there is in hunting camps and in the field.

Everyone who frequents the place does so voluntarily, some to exchange information, some for entertainment, and some to just BS. The guy who pays for it gets to decide how to moderate.
