A LGS had a stock of 5744, and I grabbed some, along with some IMR4227. If only there were a few pounds of 4759 in stock somewhere.
Gnoahh, how did the Unique load do? Around 5gr?

Best accuracy with Unique, in my rifle, is 3.8 grains and the Lee Bator cast bullet, small pistol primers. Nice to get almost 2000 shots out of a pound of powder.

I'd considered that mould. What do you think of it, particularly from small cases like the Hornet, and modest speeds?

The Lee Bator mould is my current favorite in the Hornet. I use it for everything. The Lyman/Ideal 225438 and 225415 are close seconds, but the Bator bullets have the edge on accuracy- for me. It's a bit heavy for the application, but due to its blunt shape it possesses a shortness compatible with typical Hornet twist rates.
