Went "old school" on this 7X6 this morning...definately the pinnacle of all the hunting I've done in the past 45 years..

Shot was eight yards.

Whoa, a bodacious bull!

Love the recurve. What arrow shafts are you using if I may ask?

Yep, Black Diamond. Arrow was just barley sticking out the off side.

Shortest front point is 19 1/2", longest is 22". Mainbeams are 55 1/2" on both sides.

I use Easton XX75's, 2317, fletched with turkey feathers. Bow is a Black Widow takedown with 75# limbs.

Arrow went in this side, and broke off when he rolled. He only went 40 yards after the arrow hit him. I didn't see him go down, but heard him crash....things were popping and snapping. I estimate he weighed close to 1000 pounds. Largest bodied elk I've ever seen.
