Went "old school" on this 7X6 this morning...definately the pinnacle of all the hunting I've done in the past 45 years.. Shot was eight yards. My heart was in my throat....hell, it still is!....grin! Shortest front point is 19 1/2", longest is 22". Mainbeams are 55 1/2" on both sides. Luck....is the residue of design...

Arrow went in this side, and broke off when he rolled. He only went 40 yards after the arrow hit him. I didn't see him go down, but heard him crash....things were popping and snapping. I estimate he weighed close to 1000 pounds. Largest bodied elk I've ever seen. Luck....is the residue of design...
