So is there a jailbait category? We went out last weekend to fill some whitetail doe tags on a friend's land, and of course wanted non-dink does. By 4:30 in the afternoon Eileen had seen several, but wasn't sure any was big enough until a doe came by with a buck right behind her. When the doe stopped, appearing to say "Take me, big boy!," Eileen shot.

It turned out to field-dress a little less than the average Montana doe, like about half as much. Any credit there?

I shot a B&C doe, as I do every year.

There is no dink doe category, except of course the newly established antelope doe category...cause they gots horns....

I think shaman is onto something with the hat and dink buck. He should be in it. I like it. I like it ALOT!

I think extra bonus style points should be awarded for using a Sierra bullet in a Model 70 Featherweight in .270.

The only thing that would make it better would be if the Featherweight was originally a hoary old 7x57 Mauser that had been rebarreled to the vastly superior .270.....GRIN....

You two should both know by now, and have no doubts about this...

Surely, that would trump a 7x57.

No help if it is made in Germany...it just degrades my opinion of German Gunmakers.

Even the Germans have come to realize that the .270 is superior to the Hoary Ol'Mauser.

You need to accept the obsolescence of the 7x57 and move forward with the rest of the Enlightened Ones and know shooting bliss.
