I appreciate it, but I already whipped one up while I was offline. You are right, it was easy to tinker with.
Now with even more aplomb

J, I made the target in excel. I play with the thickness depending on reticle size. Print it on card stock and you're good to go. Superimpose a mil or moa grid according to the type of adjustments you're using and it makes zeroing super easy. Like you, I use "big plus sign" targets scaled to reticle/distance/magnification to good effect.

On another note, I'm going to put at least 5 more on paper to test the load but darn it I want more speed. I'll have to increase pressure and see what happens.

I've got to say, this is hard to believe. This is the same target as pictured above but with five more shots in it that were fired this morning. Thats a total of 10 shots. I can barely make out any change in the group.

Thanks guys. The rig is producing! Here's a 350 yard group fired later this morning. Didn't measure it precisely but its not far from half MOA. Elevation was a few clicks off. The bench / chrono is in the shade and is never very accurate but it gets me in the ballpark. I'm guessing velocity is actually around 2720. Its shooting too good to screw with. I'll leave it at that.

Super rifle there.

Talus, I hear you. I'm done. Here are a few notes for those interested. Seating depth does matter and contrary to campfire lore "kissing" and rocking on isn't always the answer. I tried three seating depths; .003 into the lands, .015 off, .040 off. The further away the better it got. .040 off is the groups above. .015 off is the pic below. .003 into the lands (kissing) is the pic below.

Clint it's definatley a shooter, and I agree I've always had better groups off the lands than in!

Awesome rifle. Curious how you like the action? I'm thinking of ordering one myself.

Thanks!
RC, I am not an action snob and never had a reason to dislike the Stiller. Honestly I couldn't go into details of the differences between one custom action to another. I just know what has and has not worked for me. I've had some of the preferred actions listed in a recent thread in this forum and had issues with the tight tolerances and the bolt being sticky when exposed to the elements. I'll take the more liberal bolt tolerances on the Stiller.
I try to steer clear of a Rem 700. I've had all the following problems and to me its not worth the potential of having to deal with it.
* Scope base holes not properly aligned causing ring alignment issues
* Front or rear action height out spec causing ring alignment issues.
* Bolt cam not timed properly causing no primary extraction and failure to extract
* Firing pin hole required bushing
* Bolt handle fell off
Until I have reason to change I will roll with the Stiller.

Great looking and performing package. Really like the color combo and am thinking hard on the EH-4 for my 20" 6.5L
