Do you shop at MARSOC For Kids? Sometimes. Ever been to Pendleton? Lejune? They even have Dunkin' Donuts there. They still do pullups though. Unlike you, I have pictures of me at Lejune. Mainside, Onslow, even out in the field. I go to Lejune several times/yr.

Many would say the same about Crossfit.....I disagree but there's plenty to back up the opinion.
I know too many "old" distance runners to worry too much about it. It's like my grandpa always said "if I died when I should have, none of this would matter.". He hunted into his 90s....I'm from good stock (for a Yankee).

Marathon running is excellent preparation..... for a nursing home. None of those spec-ops guys value endurance.... Fraud "Endurance" is staying up for 24hr, then un-azzing a C-130 with an 80lb ruck and carrying it 20+ miles. Runners fold like a cheap chair. Running excessively saps testosterone and causes sarcopenia. Look it up.

Holy crap gunner 50 that is flying.
I was happy to go sub-18 minutes fora marine pft, and I usually puked after.
Sub 9 min/miles for a marathon almost killed me. You're telling me, she completed the 'goofy run' at Disney World Orlando about a year ago, 10K on Friday, 13 mi half marathon on Saturday, and a full 26 mi on Sunday, damn.......  Thankfully my job entails transportation and security secretary, those are cake.

Can she deadlift her bodyweight? I ain't sayin' that to be a dick, because inability to extend the hip (under load) is what puts little-old ladies without much muscle, in wheelchairs and nursing homes. That is a fact. TOO MUCH running, especially if done with poor form (heel-striking) will destroy the hip joint. Food for thought.
