Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money but we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money. What's interesting is the first group WORKED for their money but the other group didn't.

Heading to my hunt camp Wed. morning.
Peace and quiet in the woods, a drink of Vodka in the evening and an early bed time.
Happy new years to all.

Color me envious - that do look nice. We've been staying home the last couple of years and having our "adult" children over, along with other friends of ours. Always with an invite for anyone not wanting to drive to crash wherever they find a spot. Last year turned into a big mess when our older daughter decided to leave her husband that night. She and the grandsons ended up staying with us that night and for the next two months while we helped her sort things out.

We haven't decided yet if we are doing that again, or going down to the community center where a local country band is playing. Food is provided, it's BYOB if desired, and kids all ages are welcome. It could be fun (or I suppose, a disaster) smirk

Staying home. We had supper out last night due to traveling. We've got some ribeye steaks thawing for supper. Enjoying Belinda is feeling better and is now on the active transplant list at Johns Hopkins. Much to be thankful for.
