Anybody had any dealings with these guys. They are out of Campbell, TX. SIL is looking at getting one of their cheaper rifles. I had steered him towards a SW M&P Sport for a knock around unit but local dealer is wanting to sell him the SWAT.

This rifle?

What is the price difference? The M&P is a fine rifle. I have one and it runs and runs and runs. The SWAT has some tacticool stuff going on but may not be necessary a range or fun gun. The Smith has a solid reputation going for it so I think you will have a better chance at customer service.
I like the looks of their line up.

Which model and what's the price? I generally steer very clear of the small time assemblers.

Not sure which model but the dealer is about $30.00 lees than the S&W Sport. This will just be a truck/tractor Hog and Dog gun. He is gonna mount a Redfield cheapo scope and sling a few rounds. I would like for it to have a some reliability and accuracy.

I went to the site and couldn't find a single thing about what parts they use. I wouldn't touch them.

Me I would even get a DPMS instead.

Just a thought, you could probably call them and get any info you needed.

With that said, the first time they use the word "proprietary" I would politely thank them for their time and hang up.

The M&P is the way to go. A couple cleanings and a little lubing and it runs all day. When my wife shoots it, it goes through 100 rounds minimum. The thing is she will shoot almost non stop if I keep handing her mags. Not rapid fire but consistent. POI doesn't shift, always feeds and ejects. I have used a 3x and 3-9 Nikon P223 scope on it with great results. For a truck gun I would go with a 3x for it's weight and compactness.

Yes I could Blue but I don't care to build one if I can't order what I would use my self. I can buy them already assembled and he will never know the difference. All he cares about is will it shoot MOH (minute of hog).
