jameister Campfire Regular Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 832 Likes: 1 Idaho	I have had three 280 AI built. to get the benefit of the AI, a barrel longer than 23.5 inches would make sense. suggest 25 or 26 inches. No .30-06 based case needs a barrel longer than 24", and most do well as short as 22". If I wanted Magnum performance, I'd buy a Magnum cartridge. Still looking. “Factio democratica delenda est"
