With the game in the balance, and you have the equivalent of Michael Jordan in the backfield and don't put it in his hands each time you come down the court, you've got a screw loose.

Carroll simply outsmarted himself. And it couldn't happen a more deserving fellow.

The last play call by Seattle may be the dumbest call in the history of organized football.

You have a big, strong nearly unstoppable running back on the field and a quarterback who is slippery as an eel when running and can throw very well too and you call a slant pass away from both of these strengths with less than 1 yard to go for the winning TD in the Super Bowl.

The offensive coordinator and the head coach ought to be tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail for making such a call.

That was the worst play call I’ve seen in the history of football.

I don't think even Miles would have made that call.

Never in the history of the NFL did a situation call for a run more. That close to back to back wins...makes me sick. Carroll could have nixed Bevell decision, so it's all on Pete. This team has a bright future and will be back SOON! UGH! frown
Seahawks suck and are Bradys bitch go back to your basement ,,,BOOK IT BABY PATRIOTS REAL DYNASTY!!!

In spades!

Was a lucky miracle reception that put them in position to win in the first place!! "Legion of BOOM" gave up 28 points....not exactly 1st at anything during the game.

"BOOK THIS".... Arrogance kills... smile

Was the sweetest of wins for the PATS...

Agreed...dumbest luck, fumbling reception going set the Seahawks up for the win. That catch was their lottery win and you don't get two of those in a row.

Then they blew it.

OTOH Brady dissected their wonderful defense like a surgeon, and set them up for meltdown. A Classic and a great game by both sides, about the best g SB game I have seen. But the Pats clearly deserved the win .

Games like that usually go to the team making the fewest mistakes.

If you count back to the Packers game, they had another one just to get to the super bowl.

+1. The talking heads on sports radio are saying it is one of the dumbest plays in the history of organized sports. The Seahawks are an emotionally charged team and could implode as a result of this. Why didn't Wilson call a time out and ask the coaches, wtf is up with this play?
