.....And they are right. Passing that ball on 2nd down and goal from the ""ONE"" yard line in heavy traffic greater risked an interception or a tipped ball to NE. And look at what happened. The lower risk and greater chances for a Seattle TD was giving Lynch the ball.

Carroll gave the game away to NE with that boneheaded play call.

You have one of the best and most powerful RBs in the NFL (Lynch) and Pete-eee should have used him from the one yard line.

Chris Collingsworth was dead on the money with his opinion.

If Lynch runs in for a touchdown, then Kearse gets credited with one of the greatest catches in history, laying on his back juggling, but finally grabbing it.

all for nought, though...

I believe Kearse will be remembered for making quite a catch, whatever else happened or didn't.

I didn't find it to be a great catch, more a lucky catch on a fortunate bounce
Odell Beckham's and David Tyree's where great catches
Kearse's not so

While I can understand feelings such as this, the reality of the situation is Brady passed for well over 300 yards against the best defense in the NFL this year. With a 10-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter, this defense could not deliver a second straight Super Bowl title for the Seahawks. Brady simply picked them apart like the veteran he is and his precision in the second half, for my money, was the difference in the game.

When a defense can't hold a lead, it puts extra pressure on the offense to score enough points to win and sometimes that doesn't happen. I realize the last call could have been the difference between a win and a loss but it would have been immaterial if the defense had done their job, or done what they did during the regular season. They simply didn't execute.

One thing is for certain. That game wasn't decided until the encroachment penalty. Not the way the last minute was going.

If everyone would just throw their emotion and biases aside for one moment, we could all agree.....

Only the Green Bay Packers could have beaten the Patriots yesterday.

For a pure catch, Odell has to go in the history books.
