Yessir.

And when she gave every man, woman and infant an "enerygy subsidy" whilst governor, in the form of cash from the State coffers, that was far from fiscally conservative.

She is an idiot wrapped in a MILF package. Which explains all the *fap fap fap* sounds you hear in the background as the intellectually abbreviated types sing her praises.

Savage 99, best picture of that girl I've seen yet. I'm smitten anew. Will the Michele Bachmann pictures understand that I have enough for both of them?

2/12/15 Texas Tribune Sarah Palin
It’s always a pleasure returning to the beautiful Lone Star State. This week I’m in Houston speaking with the industrious men and women of America’s oil patch at the North American Prospect Expo. These are the unsung heroes of our nation’s energy renaissance.

In the brutal economic environment of the last six years, one sector had good news to report, and it came straight out of America’s oil patch. From 2007 to 2012, employment in the energy industry rose a dramatic 31.6 percent while employment nationwide fell 2.7 percent. U.S. oil production increased from 6.5 million barrels per day in 2012 to 7.4 million barrels per day in 2013, and in December, the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas produced its billionth barrel of oil. Thanks to American energy entrepreneurs’ drive and innovation, we’ve surpassed Russia and Saudi Arabia to become the world’s largest oil and gas producer. This truly is a great American success story, and it’s a proud moment for those of us determined to educate D.C. bureaucrats on the link between energy and our security and prosperity.

Apparently, the president is pretty proud, too. In his State of the Union address last month, he boasted about the surge in oil and gas drilling, saying, “We are as free from the grip of foreign oil as we’ve been in almost 30 years.” From the way he’s talking, you’d think he coined the phrase “drill, baby, drill.” But it was just three years ago while campaigning in Miami that he lectured, “We can’t just drill our way to lower gas prices.” Respectfully, Mr. President, “yes we can.” And yes we did. Average gas prices were well over $3 in 2012, but in the first months of 2015, they’re near $2, with some states enjoying even lower prices.

Despite his newfound appreciation for drilling, the president fails to mention that most production is on private and state lands out of his control rather than on federal lands he can over-regulate and lock up. In fact, under the Obama administration, natural gas production on federal lands — onshore and offshore — has fallen an astonishing 28 percent while production on private and state lands, many sitting atop prolific shale plays like the Bakken and Eagle Ford, thankfully increased by 33 percent. Similarly, under Obama, oil production on federal lands has fallen 6 percent but increased by 61 percent on non-federal lands.
[...]
Our nation is blessed with the natural resources, the knowledge and the workforce to now take this energy renaissance to the next level. What we lack is the political leadership and courage to do so. T. Boone Pickens summed up the problem by observing that “a five-minute conversation on energy can’t happen in Washington, because within three minutes, you’ve run out of everything they know.” The private sector’s natural adversary has always been the market forces of supply and demand, so the last thing it needs is the artificial adversarial forces of political machinations.
[...]
If the administration sincerely wanted to help our domestic energy sector, it would lift the four-decade-old ban on exporting crude oil. American producers shouldn’t have to beg permission of our own government to export our resources while the White House negotiates increased oil exports with Iran. For an administration not shy about acting on its own, it has no excuse to ignore this and not even consider lifting the ban. I challenge the watchdog press to ask why this is so.

The energy sector has been a star athlete, and Washington is scrambling on the sidelines, unaware of how to react. Let’s remind them that our government is supposed to work for us, not get in our way. Let’s tell them, “Just watch.” Watch how America’s oil patch fuels our nation’s economic engine. Watch how continued investment, innovation, exploration and production allow the U.S. to remain the global economic powerhouse. Watch the men and women of America’s new energy boomtowns in states like Texas show the bureaucrats in D.C. that no matter what roadblocks are placed in their way, they’ll find a way through and build a stronger America.

The only idiots in this are those that cannot tell the difference between oil royalties paid to those who own the oil and raising taxes to redistribute wealth.

The oil in Alaska belongs to the People of Alaska. Under their State Constitution, they own their oil, gas, and mineral resources.

And for the intellectually abbreviated idiots; this is why Alaskans receive a Permanent Fund Dividend check each year.

For years they were ripped off by Big Oil and their cronies in Juneau and Washington.
First as Chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservative Commission then as Governor Sarah Palin changed all that:

“Palin had a 89% and 93% approval rating in May 2007:
Gov. Sarah Palin, a Republican, has earned 89% and 93% approval ratings in two recent polls.
She has won nearly universal support because of her strong stand for honest government in the face of a corruption probe into other members of her party.
Her support of a proposed natural gas pipeline to the continental USA has helped, too.
"Her strength is her independence," says Alaska pollster David Dittman of Dittman Research in Anchorage.
"She distanced herself from the old boy Republican regime and has been completely non-partisan."
Alaska Democratic Party Chairman Jake Westbrook credits Palin with working across party lines on issues where there is agreement."

Seriously? You're going to attempt to lecture a lifelong Alaskan...About Alaska?

The Socialistic "Energy Rebate" Palin gave away whilst she was still Governor ($1200 to every Man, Woman, and Child) came from the General Fund, and NOT the PFD.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"An Act relating to Alaska resource rebates, and increasing the amount of the 2008 permanent fund dividend by the amount of the rebate; and providing for an effective date"

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA

* Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to read:

ALASKA RESOURCE REBATES.

(a) To provide residents of the state with an Alaska resource rebate, the amount of the 2008 permanent fund dividend shall be increased. After calculating the amount of the 2008 dividend under AS 43.23.025, the commissioner of revenue shall add $1,200 to determine the total amount of that dividend.

(b) Subject to appropriation, the amount necessary to increase 2008 permanent fund dividends under (a) of this section shall be transferred from the general fund to the dividend fund (AS 43.23.045).

* Sec. 2. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

In reference to your other "facts", yes, a decade ago she was wildly popular with Alaskans, in general. I voted for her in the gubernatorial election, and was pretty disgusted with her performance by the second year. Luckily, she quit.

It's obvious that you have some perverted crush on the former governor, but you're allowing all the blood to rush to the wrong head. She is a good looking lady, no doubt. But her qualifications are severely lacking on the National and International front, that is reality. Prior to her VP nod, her "Global" experience went no further than flying to Seattle regularly to shop.

Relevant to her "image", she is all talk, and very little substance. Abstinence? You are aware, I'm sure that lil' Sarah got knocked up and eloped with Todd, prior to Track being born, yes? And as we see with her spawn, the beer cans don't fall far from the trailer.

By all means though dude, keep shooting your load all over your "special" Palin Pillow, but don't for a minute think she has a chance of winning.

I will leave all the juvenile retorts to you and simple correct the record.

You started it with your calling Sarah an idiot and her supporters intellectually abbreviated types singing “fap fap fap.” and you are still calling oil royalties paid to the oil owners... “Socialistic.”
There are other Alaskans on Campfire who could use a lecture now and then. Have you met Walt?

Under ACES, Alaska enjoyed a $16 billion surplus as Gov. Palin left office. Because Alaskans were finally getting paid for their oil; in June of 2008 the Alaskan Legislature added $1200 resource rebate to the record Alaska Permanent Fund dividend for a total of about $3200.

I’m pleased to report to Alaskans that in early August, our Alaska Legislature agreed to approve a one-time resource rebate that returns part of our resource wealth to Alaskans --the owners in common of these resources. The rebate will be a direct payment of $1,200 to each Alaskan eligible for the 2008 Permanent Fund Dividend. The resource rebate was part of a larger energy package that also includes a 50% increase in the maximum loan amount for bulk fuel bridge and bulk fuel revolving loan funds to communities and cooperatives. Additionally, it suspends the state’s 8-cent motor fuel tax on gasoline, marine fuel and aviation fuel for one year and strengthens the Power Cost Equalization Program.”

TEXAS IN THE MORNING...
HOUSTON Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin kicks off NAPE’s Thursday festivities during a Q&A session with Carl Campbell, Chairman of the NAPE Advisory Board, at the annual Decision Maker’s Breakfast. Palin shared insights gained from her political career and addressed the importance of the energy industry to the U.S.

NAPE, the world’s largest E&P (upstream) expo, brings prospects and producing properties (from the U.S. and around the world), capital formation, services and technologies together in one location, creating an environment to establish strategic alliances for doing business and initiating purchases and trades.

Christopher Helman at Forbes writes:
Sarah Palin’s Message Of Love To American Oil And Gas
HOUSTON – Sarah Palin preached to the choir this morning at the North American Prospect Expo. She was greeted with a standing ovation by a crowd of hundreds oil and gas industry types, and she left with an ovation too, declaring, “It’s always a pleasure to be back in Alaska’s sister state Texas.”

In her own unique way, Palin told the crowd (part of the 15,000 attendees expected at NAPE this week) what they wanted to hear: oil and gas is the lifeblood of America. Keystone XL is a no-brainer. The Alaska National Wildlife Refuge should be opened to drilling. President Obama just doesn’t get it.
She didn’t rule out running for president in 2016.
[…]
“Energy is my baby. The thing that I miss most about my governing responsibilities is to be able to spur investment in exploration and development.”
America’s oil and gas is what’s needed to “feed and fuel a hungry nation with what God has created for man’s responsible use.”

My husband Todd started off with BP on the North Slope of Alaska. “We raised our kids with that North Slope lifestyle. Thank you so much for paying my bills for many years.”
[...]
Can government do anything to help the industry at this time? Usually “government just gets in the way, and is so much of the problem in our economy.” But right now “government can spur more production by lifting the export ban.”

But instead of common sense moves like that, the administration is hurting the industry by blocking Keystone XL, by pursuing land grab in Alaska. By enabling an EPA guilty of vast regulatory overreach. “The punative aspect of it is to really stick it to the American people.”

“The president is not for American energy independence.” If he were he wouldn’t be trying to lock up the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge. That’s “20 million more acres he wants to lock up from development.”
Obama wants to balance that out by opening up some waters off the Eastern seaboard to oil exploration. But “that’s a bogus exchange.”
“All we need to explore and develop ANWR is a 2,000 acre swath. Alaska is 400 million acres when you consider our water and land. A postage stamp in the middle of a football field. That’s all the land we need to develop.”

As for the Keystone XL pipline: “It’s a no-brainer. It’s basic infrastructure. We have millions of mile of pipe streaming across this country. It’s the safest way to transport friendly fuel. It’s a shame [President Obama] has taken off the possibilities for America and for Canada to transport this fuel. It will get to market somehow.”
[…]
“I can’t wait for 2016. That election I can see from my house. I hope for a GOP candidate who understands energy and understands infrastructure.”

“Hillary Clinton will be the Democrat candidate because she has the money.” After her, it’s a “shallow bench.

Is there any chance a dark horse could emerge to challenge her? “Not really, because of the money. Hillary Clinton will seize the opportunity to collect those funds. Hillary is it.”

As for Vice President Joe Biden? “He’s been in politics long enough to have voted against the Trans-Alaska pipeline.”
The field of GOP candidates represent ”a deep bench.”
“Common sense conservatives — we’re going to have our hands full.”

Is Sarah Palin considering a run? “I’m so sorry you asked that. It’s “just too early.” But “a lot can change.”

Can we win? “I don’t underestimate the wisdom of the people.”

TEXAS IN THE EVENING...
Posted: Thursday, February 12, 2015
By Ruth Campbell|[email protected]

A crowd estimated at over 1600 assembled at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center in Midland, Texas to hear Governor Sarah Palin’s speech in the Distinguished Lecture Series for the John Ben Shepperd Public Leadership Institute.  The Institute is a part of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, and the lecture series is free and open to the public.

The topic for the evening was "Groundbreakers, Mavericks, and Trailblazers: How Women are Showing 21st Century Leadership", a subject Palin had to reflect on, "I had to put a lot of thought into, well what am going to say because for me personally, its almost a foreign thought",  Palin said.  "Maybe because being raised in Alaska" .. "There’s a lot of independent spirit up there, and there’s an expectation growing up that the girls are gonna work as hard and the boys. And then the women are going to work as hard as the men, just in order to survive some of the conditions up there," .. "It’s ingrained in me, the acknowledgment that women have awesome opportunities in America to do whatever we want to do."

"I never had those moments where I said I want to give up. My Dad always raised us to say when times are tough, don’t retreat. You reload, but don’t retreat," Palin said.  … "I’m hoping that for the younger generations they know that nothing is stopping them."

Palin said the country is suffering from a dire lack of good leadership, something that will be paramount in the next presidential election.
What’s right in Washington, Palin said, is our history. The country America was built on an expectation of a reward for hard work and development of our natural resources, Palin said.
But Washington is broken. “It’s amazing what they’re taking away from us in terms of taxes and resources and they are wasting and hiding,” Palin said. “… We don’t have to put up with it.”

She said people need to be informed about the challenges facing the nation, work hard to elect candidates they believe in, hold them accountable and remind them that the people are the boss and we won’t tolerate the “shenanigans” going on.

If we keep going the way we are, she said, we’ll be bankrupt and no longer a sovereign nation. “We’re already on the brink now. That’s why 2016 is so important,” Palin said.

The Governor also took a series of questions from the audience on a wide variety of topics.
Palin revealed that she views being a mother, not a former vice presidential candidate, not a former governor of Alaska, as her legacy.
“It (her legacy) would have to be about being a mom,” Palin said. “Speaking of political incorrectness, I’m sure that those that consider themselves feminists just cringe at such a thing when I talk about it.” (mrt.com)

Asked who she would want to have a lengthy conversation with, she chose President Abraham Lincoln. Her other two favorites are George Washington and Ronald Reagan.
Reagan is someone she admires for his ability to find common ground with Democrats during his tenure as president on items like Social Security. She contends Social Security will go broke in 10 years. (oaoa.com)

Asked if women should be placed in combat roles in the military, Palin said if a woman is equal to a male soldier or any person in the military, she doesn’t see why women couldn’t serve in that role. On the other hand, she said, men and women are created differently and she wouldn’t want to see standards changed.
“Men are stronger physically; mentally, no question (women are stronger). Out in the field, it’s hard for me to imagine that women would be on par with men” due to the physical nature of being in battle, Palin said. (oaoa.com)

Palin didn’t reveal if her eyes are set on running for President in 2016. However, she believes more women in general will take leadership roles.
"We’re at that point where we don’t have to focus so much on gender because I think more and more Americans are getting it, that yes, there will be a woman President someday. Maybe 20 or 30 years ago that was unfathomable for some people, but now it’s not impossible to fathom," Palin said

Even after receiving flak for her speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit in Des Moines, Iowa, Palin still used a Martin Luther King Jr. quote that was cited many times in critical articles about the speech, all for the sake of pointing out peoples’ distrust in national politics.
“‘And so we must,’ he (King) said, ‘strengthen our backs and work for our freedom’,” Palin said on Thursday. “’A man can’t ride you unless your back is bent.’”

But Palin won the crowd over when she uttered her famous “drill, baby, drill” catchphrase when discussing domestic vs. foreign oil production, also noting that the U.S. needs to quit “bowing down to foreign countries.”

Palin’s ferocity and unabashed tone complimented her answers relevant to the theme of the lecture, when the theme finally came about through moderator and audience questions. Palin revealed that she views being a mother, not a former vice presidential candidate, not a former governor of Alaska, as her legacy.

“It (her legacy) would have to be about being a mom,” Palin said. “Speaking of political incorrectness, I’m sure that those that consider themselves feminists just cringe at such a thing when I talk about it.”

Throughout the night, Palin would switch back and forth between skewering and complimenting. So after her attack on feminists, Palin complimented Texas women, or “cowgirls,” saying they understand what it takes to make it in tough conditions.
