The Flim Flam Man with George C Scott. I've seen it a dozen times, Dave. Never tire of it. Watching Bogie in the African Queen tonight.

Well I make no bones about it- The Searchers and the Outlaw Josey Wales are two of the greatest westerns ever made! Then there is the Prisoner of Zenda, the 1937 and 1952 versions one in B+W and the other Color, The Apartment, The fortune Cookie, The Odd Couple just to mention a few! There are some really good movies around that seldom get mentioned anymore, I went to the movies just twice last year and I don't even remember what I even saw! American Sniper was very very good, not a surprise Eastwood directed it! Its not old enough yet, wait 40 or 50 years from now! I gotten a little sour on what passes for movies these days most of it is just plan crap! I have a free pass in my wallet but there is nothing I want to use it on! I just might blow it on Sponge Bob! At least the dedicate it to the Great Ernest Borgnine! Oh Marty is a good one too!

I watched the original 'Mutiny on the Bounty' last night, 1935 starring Charles Laughton and Clark Gable.
Excellent movie. Probably one of the first films ever made that wasn't bad corny garbage. It's aged really well.

"The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" was on Saturday afternoon. In HD and looked as if it had just been restored... always liked Stewart. But Stewart and Wayne together was great, think they only made 2 or 3 together, I'd have liked to see a bunch more.

Too Late the Hero was shot in the Philippines, on the grounds of the naval magazine at Subic Bay, while I was there. Some of the guys in my outfit signed on as extras. My duties were such that, schedule wise, I missed my chance to be discovered.

The Flim Flam Man with George C Scott. I've seen it a dozen times, Dave. Never tire of it. Watching Bogie in the African Queen tonight. Yep. Saw Flim Flam when in 6th grade and hardly ever since. Glad to know others appreciate that movie that never gets shown. I found a copy and bought it for one of my sisters. African Queen was a huge childhood Favorite. Well. Do so Mr. Allnut. I will Add : To Kill a Mockingbird The Thin Man and The Big Sleep. For War Genre Paths of Glory and All Quiet on the Western Front For Western will throw out- Bad Company - way underrated and believably done compared to some other westerns mentioned. For Foreign Film M with Peter Lorre. Still spooky. Comedy How about Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World Ethel Merman's son in law Sylvester is the greatest thing ever.

Eh76: I nominate "The Wild Bunch" with William Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Ben Johnson, Warren Oates, Edmond Obrien, Bo Hopkins, L.Q. Jones, Strother Martin and Robert Ryan along with MANY other fine actors! This masterpeice of Sam Peckinpahs is still studied by film schools, film critics and college professors after 45 years since its release. It is also rated amongst the "Top 100 Best Movies" of all time by The American Film Institute. "I wouldn't have it any other way"! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
