Issac, I have made this offer a few years back....out of state hunting here is expensive and success rate low you may see lots of animals but rarley a shooter. You hunt in jungle conditions in rain or wet snow visability in the jungle is never greater than a few yards. leave you Loudboominsuperduper mega magnum to home. Don't bother with a scope over 4x if any at all and mostly get the best rain gear money can buy and expect to toss it away when you are done brush bustin. I can usually find a herd of calves and cows in a few hours but a shooting bull is another matter. Any one who wants to give it a go PM me.

The fishing should be picking up here as the nights have been cool as well. However, we had several inches of rain earlier in the week and all the rivers are presently unfishable. I did get out during the first downpour, fishing for browns, just as the river was starting to rise and had a 15 lb. carp inhale my #6 Grey Ghost. The smarter thing to do would have been to immedialtely break it off, but I felt compelled to land it. A rod larger than a 5 wt. would have worked better. I'm hoping for the rivers to recede to fishable levels by Sat.

I certainly hope he is working, we need to be protected from missuse of the english language Gene may be a great guy but he sure has some weird ways of showing it, comming on like a troll and all. I found a small piece that was written by a Gene Langston in the Athens Banner Hearld. Not bad. So is this the real Gene L or an imposter it is hard to tell from where I am sitting...but I think we have the real deal on our hands and he is an A-Hole of the first degree but a nice guy just the same. Ought to fit rite in once he learns that he is not going to change the way things opperate around here.
Bullwnkl Hey BW--I read the article as well. It was well written and demonstrated to me that he is a patriot. A man who has served his country and has been in LE for 30t years generally comes out of the introduction gate with my respect. Yeah he can piss you off but which one of us new guys on given certain days hasn't pissed off some folks. It's a learning process and while I might take a different approach to a mea culpa than Gene, if you read carefully, you can see when he's attempting to turn things around. He just likes to get in a couple F U's on the way backwards. I respect that as well.I remember in my 1st month I said some rather degrading things to djmbow and Ethan. I deservedly got a knot jerked in my ass and have attempted since then to be less disparaging when in a debate that gets rather heated emotionally. Quite frankly, djmbow has been cracking me up lately with his way of using pics to illustrate his points. Very clever. Finally, when you think of djmbows earlier post,Gene has over 200 very quick replies to this post. He does draw us in from many emotional directions. And,if were all honest,I bet each of us is quick to click on Gene L when seen in the forum menu. I know I do and I will continue to do so. Gene--Have you aged much in your 3 years since that picture??

Meanwhile, I'm convinced Barak is a woman posting as a man. No matter what you say or do, you're just not going to get him to come out and get involved in this stuff with you. He's just not interested. And let me assure you that he is 100% man. I know him "close up and personal." Penny My god, thats a scary thought. Folks just don't need to share all that kind of info.

He ain't the lead dog, and if he's gonna pizz on the campfire, he better learn to lift his leg a little higher, the flames still burn brightly. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's right brother, as far as I'm concerned, there is only one Alpha Male around this board, and he goes by the name of Steelhead.

If ya wanna know me just ask me, I am easy to get along with ask about anyone here. This has been real enlightening, All I can say is Wow, and Gene, if you feel Elk are so easy, why don't ya come on out to Colorado and show us how it's done. Cattle get butchered close to where they are dropped, and you don't have to drag them bastards out. Les

I think I missed you, though, Tex. Nothing in Texas but steers and ....well, you know the rest. Issac, actually I have improved my looks quite a bit since my picture. Here's me when I was in Viet Nam in 1969.... Barak's Womn, as soon as your pulse slows down after looking at my handsome visage, then please DON'T tell me how much a man Barak is. You'd probably be violating some law, anyway. Do I need to resort to with all my posts?

Gene Gene Gene, my friend I am almost as far west as one can get in these here continental United States. I have a great sence of humor , just ask me. Once again the regulars did not get your drift about shooting elk, they are big and are big targets, I think that is where you left it off. Nothing was said about how hard they can be to find some folks just read that into your post. No way is an elk as easy to hunt as shooting a bovine, but the target is about the same size when presented. As to packing one out, thats what young guys are for. It's darn tough work no matter how you cut it. I don't know too much about Colorado elk but around here you earn every steak and burger from the elk we have. I am sure thats the same in the rockies except our Roosevelt elk tend to be a bit larger. Old guys like us need to just find ways of enjoying the hunt then staying out of the way when the real work begins. Most of my elk hunting any more is done with a camera.

Bart, are you one of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders?
You keep trying to get my attention. That's a warning. And you talked about hitting some guy in the nose (I assume with your purse) when he said something to you.
I think you're the kind of guy who pays sailors to spank him.
