Squirt some Heinz in there too!
They put them in a tall Pepsi cup, so when you are done you have a
vinegar/salt/ketchup smear up to your wrist.

That's ok.
It goes good with the powdered sugar from a funnel cake all over your shirt.
If careful, I can keep the lemonaid in the cup!😁

What I just described is $20 at most fairs now.
Rural.
No idea in places like York or Lancaster.

When I worked for the police department in the marine patrol we’d take the boat to one of the few restaurants dotted around the lake and one of the only ones IN our area of responsibility which was Ivars fish and chips. I’d get a Cajun 5 piece and several containers of malt vinegar, spicy malt vinegar and garlic malt vinegar for the tartar and cocktail sauce. My partner was also the head of the division and and a sergeant on the force and we became good friends through working together but he couldn’t stand the smell of vinegar stinking up the wheelhouse ….. he dry-dogged his fish eating it without the benefit of vinegar and tartar. I’d usually take him into consideration and eat on deck while giving him grief and cracking jokes….he had the driest sense of humor that was hidden behind 25 years (at that time ~1992ish) of being jaded by law enforcement. He and I had a blast together and I had (still do) a tremendous amount of respect for that man and that cop! Rainy days and windy days though he was outta luck because I’d eat my lunch in the wheelhouse…those are great memories!

Malt vinegar on fresh hot slightly greasy and salty fries is killer after a night of pub crawling outside of Manchester UK. Kebabs and curry, mushy peas and gravy….England is a drunken paradise which is why I spent 2 or 3 months (I can’t remember exactly) the first time I went. Malt vinegar accompanied virtually everything.

There's an awesome fast food chain in South Africa called Nandos. Their specialty is grilled peri-peri chicken and they make several different levels of heat peri-peri sauce. Their grilled chicken sandwiches are excellent with a side of chips and malt vinegar.

Sometimes you can find Nandos peri-peri sauce sold here in the states. It's not just all heat it's got a good flavor to it being vinegar based with some lemon juice too. Their extra hot will get your attention.

I like corned beef hash with a fried egg on top and a splash hot sauce. Tabasco or Valentina depending on the day. Sometimes it's hard to beat regular old vinegar based tobasco on breakfast, especially on biscuits and gravy.

Hold the third world chili based condiments, pass the malt vinegar.

East Indian curry rocks 😎 , took the working class by storm. Even Skinheads got it with their fish, chips and soggy peas.

It ain’t REAL fish and chips though unless it comes wrapped in wax paper and then newspaper, with a little flat wooden fork-type thing included.
