Dead or alive...
I'll start with this one, who is alive and well as I type. One of the largest 7X7's I've ever seen.
Hopefully we cross trails next September...;)
Archery bulls from 2014&2015...
One of my favorite trail cam pics...
WOW don't think we anything like that up here anymore....
Whoppers nothin more to say!
I first saw this bull in 2018. He was back in 2019 with a little more mass. Never got within bow range. Longest thirds I've ever seen on a live bull.
Most of these pictures are taken through a Zeiss 20X spotter.
Here he is last fall....
That's the pictorial definition of a target rich environment.
One of my favorite trail cam pics...
Those bulls are amazing!
Here’s a bull we hunted this year. Had him in front of my guy at 40yards and couldn’t get it done. Actually the next few pics are all from bulls that we couldn’t get an arrow into this year! Most will be terrible through the bino pics!
quick image upload

6x8 bull
Grizzled old bull that I saw for four straight years. A friend of mine killed him in 2018, about 20 air miles from where I took this picture.
Couple of bulls we passed with a rifle because they were busted. They were both raking that tree.
No toads like above, but one of mine from a few years back:
Buddy of mine using a bow I built for him:
Archery bulls from 2014&2015...
Never gets old seeing your pics Pat! Thank you for sharing your success! Bring on 2020! Hoping to be up your way this year if we can draw a tag.
The closer of the two sparring bulls. We were 70 yards above him and he was screaming his head off.
Horrible pic of a great bull my hunter missed a few years ago.

It was pretty bad, but like I’ve learned over the years, you can’t kill it for them...BUT I think I was more upset than he was!! Hahaha

Those thirds give me goose bumps!!
Bitterroot Valley. General season at 40 yards with a .303 Savage in my hands.
Too bad I filled my tag with a smaller bull with my bow a few weeks earlier.
Public land rag bull I could have shot, but just didn't feel like ruining a good elk hunt by shooting an elk.
Last day meat bull:
Just found another!!
The little cedar gives it an R rating
Some nice bulls all.
Now we're rolling....any bull elk is a good one.
My one and only Rosie. From Alaska.
2019 Wyoming rag
My only elk mount. Rifle kill, 2004, Missouri Breaks.
Best bow kill.
This bull was a gift from God, never shoulda happened.
Short story. First archery hunt. 37 lb bow. Called the bull into 40 yards quartered hard to us. Couldn’t come to full draw when his head was behind a tree. Came to full draw when he cleared. She started shaking so bad and said she had to release. Hit him at the neck shoulder junction and dropped him in his tracks. We run up and he has his antlers stuck in the ground. We are both trying to knock her arrow, I’ve never shook so hard in my life!!! She smokes him in the pocket and he shakes himself loose and stands up!! Another round of team arrow knocking takes place but he moves off before we can get it into him. I promise I tried to wait an hour but somehow got on his trail a little sooner. We are trailing him and I glass him up in his bed. I ask her how Indian she can be and tell her to sneak up and plug him again. She drills him again and he never leaves his bed. Probably the most exciting hunt I’ve ever been a part of... ok not so short.
thumbs up logo
Uncle Don's first elk. I've never seen a grown man so excited...Don was pretty excited too...;)
We walked in the dark, found a vantage point and waited for daylight. We heard him bugle from about 1/2 mile away. 20 minutes later, he appeared at only 100 yards.
Don made it happen with one well placed shot from his 30/06.
Photo I took back in the mid 80's during the rut in Yellowstone Park.
God damn er claw hammer!!! Hopefully Montana, Idaho, Washington or Oregon toss a permit my way, otherwise it's general raghorn musket bulls at home again!😂😂
Call this bull the wolf bull. Wolves had moved into our country and really scattered the elk. There’s a big hill with a road to the top that you can glass probably 30 square miles and most times count up to 300 head of elk. The hill is also one of the only places to get cell reception. The night before all of the guides had driven to the hill to make calls home and whatnot. There was a Fed pickup parked up there and we figured he was using the phone. In the morning I decided to go back to the hill and hopefully see something. As soon as we topped out in the dark I saw the Fed pickup was still there. As I got out to set up I could hear a bull bugling. I set up my tripod and soon found the bull and 7 cows. As I was watching them figuring out a plan a shaggy haired sleepy kid emerges from the fed pickup. He asked if I could see anything and I said yeah some elk. I asked if he was broke down and he said he was monitoring wolves, he was a F&S wolf biologist. I asked him where they were to which he replied he could just tell me what direction they were was about it. Refocusing on the elk unnoticed they were alert on something. Thinking a hunter might be making a move I panned you and there were 6 wolves,a breeding pair and 4 pups crossing the pasture. I said well he’ll there’s your wolves, and I don’t think he believed me. He said, no... really. Damn straight right down there!!! He asks if he can look through my glass So I let him slide behind me tripod. He yells THATS SO COOL!!! I’VE NEVER SEEN THEM BEFORE!!! Wtf?!? I look at my hunter and decide we better go kill this bull as they had started to move off due to the wolves. We haul butt down there and I rake the bull into 30 some yards and he smokes him. Kinda anticlimactic kill but a cool lead up!
how much money does a forensic anthropologist make
Some nice bulls all.
Dang SLM please tell me that bull is walking the earth!! He’s just a baby!! We’ve got the two super package guys again this year, always looking for critters!!
My one and only Rosie. From Alaska.

School me on the rifle with your 2019 bull?
6.5x284 correct? What are the other particulars, barrel contour/length and stock?
Some very impressive bulls all.
NM’, he was alive the last day of the last hunt. The gift bull is a great story.
Here’s mine from the last two seasons and my dad’s from this year. Mine were both public land CO 3rd season bulls and his was a late season OK bull on our family ranch.
We don’t normally kill big ones but we have a pretty good record of filling tags. Some of the bulls you guys have posted here are incredible.
If I told you about my bull elk, it would be a bunch of BULL!
Only live one I've ever seen (well a couple spikes about 10 minutes prior), and once I saw him, he didn't stay that way very long.
Nothing compared to what's been posted, but my first bull elk. Ate a lot of tags leading up to this one.

My second bull. Where I shot this one, there wasn't a tree around for a LONG ways. Got caught in the open and he pushed a herd of cows to right at 70yds from me. Saw him bugle in the scope before I shot him. Didn't realize how busted up he was, but was pretty tickled with him.

Correct.
Barrel is 26", but I am seriously thinking of getting it chopped to 22". I just don't think a guy needs 26" to effectively burn the amount of powder a 284 case can hold. Lilja 1/8 twist.
Not a clue on the barrel contour but it is fairly heavy. Stock is a McMillan kevlar off of a Rem 700 AWR. Timney trigger.

There was a few hundred elk up on that butte the other day.
I believe there's a mineral that area is lacking in the feed which leads to brittle antlers. It's probably also due to them always being in the sun, and the WGFD managing that area for bull quantity. It may as well be a bunch of dudes in a bar fighting over one girl. I think it all adds up to busted antlers, as 99% of the bulls out there are that way.
It's a unique hunt, regardless. Glad you got to experience it.
cool pics .i have saw 1 elk in my life at a small rehab place for wild critters .for some one that sees a 145lb deer as big. that thing was a friggen monster at 10ft in a fence . it was a 6 by 7 looked bigger than big horse
This one is from Cherokee, NC
20’ from him
fantastic bulls fellows...im jealous. Not a bull in this province that would compete with most of the bulls posted up. you fellows are lucky to have those opportunities to just see them let alone kill one. you have good management going on
Heavyload the one i saw was in Ohio . out side of Akron in a place that took care of abused wildlife. place had a lot of big cats .tigers lions a few bears a cross between a horse & a zebra and other weird critters in 08
More awesome bulls and great pics!!
This is why many of us come to this site, thanks guys.

No, that's a good friend who I met sheep hunting years ago.
The elk you're thinking of was taken by my pal Al Klassen in the Yukon. I'll see if I can come up with a picture of that bull. It was the largest elk killed in North America that year(2009).
Nobody is more deserving of a grand bull than this guy.....
Al is one of the best friends I have, and one of the best sheep hunters in the entire world....
Keep looking at how big a body this bull has. They are some big bastids.
That is the one. Not sure why I was thinking Alaska.

I've read several articles about him over the years, and seen him in a few advertisements for various products.
He seems like the real deal, for sure.

That thing was no kidding the size of my 16 hand quarter horse. WAY bigger bodied than any Rocky Mountain bull I have been around.
1200-1300 lbs is what ADFG estimates mature bulls average on Afognak, based on a pre-hunt letter (or should I say, warning) they sent us. While I didn't exactly have a Cat Wheel loader bucket handy, nor a scale I fully believe those two bulls we got were in that poundage range. It took us 4 days of packing meat to get them two miles back to base camp.

2017 raghorn I took on the last day I could hunt that season.
I don't know why people get married during hunting season...it's so inconsiderate.
Bull calf taken during a late cow hunt. They're so much easier to get out
Another last day raghorn I helped a guy out with this last year:
Bulls we took in 2017
As I've not pulled the trigger on an elk yet, if some of you guys would kindly pm me the GPS coordinates where those pictures were taken, I'd be much obliged....grin.
Y'all got me drooling. I might have to prioritise some things.

His draw luck in UNREAL. Probably why we both put in with him.
124, it was.
I'd take it over the Gila in NM, the breaks in MT and anywhere in AZ or UT.
There might be a select few southern Idaho elk hunts I'd take instead, but even that would be a maybe, and it would only be for the lesser chance of busted up antlers.
Copy thanks Ted. I'm still sittin on max across the board, scared to cash an in!!😂😂
Scenarshooter, my hat is off to you man. You’ve killed a pile of bulls of a lifetime for most guys. I’ve been in on a good bit of elk killing but nothing like the bulls you post every year. Amazing
Tinman, I’ve long watched your posts and you are an elk shooting SOB too. Obviously not afraid to punch a tag on a legal bull and call it good big or not, you’re what Joe Everyman wishes he was.
SLM and NM, you guys obviously get into some monsters in NM. I have cousins who live in your state and when they occasionally draw a ML tag, none of them bow hunt, they say it’s incredible. You guys obviously prove their point.
Tip of the hat to all of you guys, not just everybody is good at finding and killing elk, even fewer are great at it.

Thanks Kid...I'm sure I could kill bigger bulls if I really wanted to, but I am usually more interested in filling the freezer with something decent then getting back to my beloved upland bird hunting, than in king sized critters.
Being that I normally get an extra cow tag every year I should probably rethink my strategy...but my way makes me happy so I keep doing it.
Copy thanks Ted. I'm still sittin on max across the board, scared to cash an in!!😂😂
With max points I'd be looking at units 30 or 124 and I wouldn't be afraid to cash in...good luck with that pot of gold you're sitting on...
Ted, I’m Leary of cashing them in, as I’ll never be in this position again.. antelope yes, elk and deer, even with max I might not ever draw, being 45...
I see your point, for sure. My thoughts are that there generally are fewer and fewer tags every year, more people putting in for those fewer tags and in many cases: declining trophy quality.
That, and the older you get, the harder it is to play this sport. You can't take those points with you when you go...
Oh I know brother, thought about goin guided, but they have shiit years too... need to draw, dedicate a couple weeks, archery/rifle and let er chew

1. If you're going to go guided, think Cody area if you aren't afraid of horses.
2. If you have a choice between 30 and 124...there isn't one. 124 without a doubt.
3. A guide probably isn't going to be all that helpful in 124, its almost all public or private that you can access. The only secret to hunting 124 is how much time you have and laying off the trigger.
4. Don't go unless you can spend a ton of time, its a longgg season...those elk are here today, gone tomorrow. Time spent, rather than timing, is the limiting factor on who gets the best bulls and who doesn't. Its not a normal elk hunt at all, many aren't where they "should be".
WOW!! Nice "boools"....really nice!
We're living in a great era for big elk.
September 2018.
Great pictures everyone!
Hope to see this bull come September ..with a little better luck this time.General archery tag.
A bull I had a few encounters with but couldn’t get in range. I was fortunate enough to be there when a good friend got him with a rifle last fall.

Passing up any unit in UT and AZ for that tag is crazy talk though!

Ya, you have a point.....Maybe I should have said "any other unit that I have experience with"....
I've been sort of side-tracked from getting serious about elk the last couple years, hunting sheep, big pronghorn, and deer as well as helping out my 2 nephews who are becoming very good hunters.
Last season, shot 3 elk for the freezer here in Wyoming last season, all cows. Helped my nephew with a cow, an old friend, and 5 of my buddies from ND, ID, and MT all get elk as well.
Growing up in Montana elk were for eating, and I shot the first legal bulls I could find. Its funny digging up these old pictures.
Shot them by the trailer load sometimes, opening day, 1985:
Wayyy back in the day:
One of the crappiest places I ever killed an elk in Montana, archery opener:
Rifle opener:
First six point I ever killed:
Last year it was legal to kill spikes in the place my family has hunted since the 1940's in Montana. Ruined a good day of deer hunting, but velvet spike bulls are about as good on the table as it gets:
Last day MT bull some years back:
Last day I could hunt the first time I drew the breaks, passed a ton of better bulls:
Another breaks bull:
Same hunt, found this bull while glassing for deer. A guy from Billings drove by and asked if I'd seen any bulls. Took him back let him look at it through my spotting scope. He liked the bull so I planned the stalk, and went with him. His best bull ever, haven't heard from the guy since, but was glad to help him out. He was an older guy and was about in tears he was so happy.
Some more Montana bulls:
Watched my Dad shoot this one while we were hunting deer, elk ruined another good day of deer hunting:
Another one while hunting deer, and probably the last bull I'll shoot in Montana. Hate feeling like I'm killing the last bull in the drainage I hunt due to Montana's mismanagement of public land elk.
General Montana bull, my best from Montana:
Same bull:
More Wyoming freezer elk:
Best Wyoming General elk:
Another general bull:
A couple more meat bulls:
Montana
Wyoming
Always see a lot while after spring bear:
Some nicer bulls from Wyoming.
Best archery elk, and best elk ever:
Same bull:
Another Wyoming bull:
Next day my wife shot this one, her first elk:
A few years later, same area, my wifes second bull:
When I left the truck it was -29 degrees, but no wind in Wyoming makes it not so bad, in particular when old bulls are bedded in the sun:
Helped a good friend from Wisconsin with this bull, miserable, windy SOB that day...but it payed off:
I've drawn 4 rifle bull tags in Arizona, hunted with 3 donated one to Arizona hunt of a lifetime.
The 3 I hunted:
A couple more meat bulls:
Montana
Wyoming
Always see a lot while after spring bear:
What's the story on the ear tag on the spike? Don't see that every day.
Was caught and tagged at the Bondurant feed grounds, for WGFD's normal data collection reasons.
I shot that spike and a 4x5 the next year about 1/2 mile away, that also had that ear tag.

I don't hunt over that way much, but figured that may be the case...
Nice bulls SLM!...That toad made a nice gun rack for your smoke pole. 😎
Let’s see em beave!! Show these boys what real elk are!!
Great bulls SLM! Did I loan you my muzzleloader?? Hahaha my three biggest bulls were killed with an omega too!
I'm a wannabe in the world of elk hunters!! Good shares all!

Nice mark, shows our country pretty well.
My boy walking up on his OTC, public-land bull two seasons ago...
The two of us even happier to have him out three days later...
A couple of weeks later after cleaning the skull...
It was a great bull for our parts, and an even better memory.

Thanks Jud. Love that kid, and it'll break my heart to see him leave for college this fall...assuming the world hasn't fallen apart by then.
I never thought he'd top his first bull, two years prior....

My Alma mater...
Mine too.
Rowdy headed there this fall. He's enrolled at the College of Natural Resources in the Rangeland program. I'll probably be working for him in 10 years given his academic prowess as compared to my own.
Dave
I was in the wildlife program at that same College. I shot my first archery elk, a lead cow, near Troy.
Good times up in that area. How's the Corner Club doing?
Ya sucks at first, he'll be all right, you raised a man, not one of these metro sexual skinny jeans wearing flat bill dummy...
I've never been a huge trophy hunter...but that kid has shot two bulls bigger than I have...nice work!
Yeah, he's not a flat-brim kind of kid at all. Matter of fact, he was out last night fishing for sturgeon until the wee hours of the morning. Froze his jiblets off, but he and his buddies had a good time otherwise.
The corner club is still getting young folks hammered at a relatively seedy, and inexpensive rate....as always. I might have spent a couple of nights there myself.
Here he is with his bull from this year. Not quite as impressive, but still a fair accomplishment for an OTC tag and a 17yo managing a couple of AP classes...
T,
Here is a Selway bull from a couple of years ago. I wasn't the shooter, just the guide. For those that care about such things, this bull had an ear tag and was the oldest recorded bull ever tagged in Idaho....at least according to the IDFG Regional Office in Nampa.
Dave
T,
Here is another Selway bull I killed season before last. Nothing special, but still an OTC bull...
👍

Good times indeed. Seems just like yesterday but it's been 20+ years since I resided in Moscow. Had the pleasure of tromping around the Clearwater area with Corey Jacobsen of Elk101 while we were going to school there.
Good stuff Dave!

Damn it. How old Dave? I love that selway country
32_20,
Small world! Corey and I hunted the Selway together as well. We're still good buds to this day. We spoke last week as it happens. In fact, I was the Editor of his hunting magazine and wrote the humor column in it for the 4/5 years it was in publication (Extreme Elk) a couple of years back.
Jud,
I'll have to look it up when I get home, but I BELIEVE it was 13 years old. It way tagged as a calf 30 miles from where I found it the night before hunting season. We killed it 5 minutes into opening day. Pretty crazy (and lucky) hunt.
Dave
I sure miss the Selway.
I used to be able to saddle up in my mom's yard in the Bitterroot, ride over the divide and down to the river and then go about anywhere I wanted to for days. Whitecap Creek, Goat Haven Peaks, all the Moose Creek drainages, whatever. Now days I have to trailer them a good 2 miles to a trailhead...
Damn, 13 yo in that country is pretty damn impressive. Hellava bull!
Nice elk guys! Keep them coming.....
Now isn't this better than, "What's the best bullet for a whitetail in a .270 in a 22" barrel?"....grin!

Scenar Shooter- Those are some monster elk. The only place in Colorado to find elk like that on a regular basis is Rocky Mountain National Park, and they don't take kindly to people who shoot them!

Dang Dave, very small world! Corey is good people and cool to see where he's taken his passion for elk and very cool you were a part of that. I thinks it's been about 10 years since I talked to him.
Great pics all!!
That tractor looks prehistoric!
Naw, it ain't that old. It's a feller buncher, pretty common around here on the smaller wood they cut nowadays
The best thing on the interwebs I've seen this year.
My grocery run raghorns don't belong here.
Post 'em Timber.
I did.
Those with seemingly unlimited pictures of huge bulls put in WAY more time than the average hunter, both scouting and hunting. They most certainly deserve their success but that's not to say there's a damn thing wrong with a raghorn.
I wanna see what you got.
my first branch-antlered bull. still have it as a hat rack.....

Amen brother. I shot a rag-horn myself this year, and right about now I’m damn happy to simply to have some meet in the freezer!
Some great bulls/pics all.
They haven’t let me use it in a while.
Did I loan you my muzzleloader??
Yeah, he's not a flat-brim kind of kid at all. Matter of fact, he was out last night fishing for sturgeon until the wee hours of the morning. Froze his jiblets off, but he and his buddies had a good time otherwise.
The corner club is still getting young folks hammered at a relatively seedy, and inexpensive rate....as always. I might have spent a couple of nights there myself.
Here he is with his bull from this year. Not quite as impressive, but still a fair accomplishment for an OTC tag and a 17yo managing a couple of AP classes...
At least the boy remembered to smile!!!
I’ve killed one bull elk in my life. Was tickled pink with this guy last year.
that's a whole lot better than being pickled stink......grin

I'd be tickled pink too. Good bull.
Jud,
We’ve waited long enough...Lite it up with your pics. 😬😎
Nice elk guys! Keep them coming.....
Now isn't this better than, "What's the best bullet for a whitetail in a .270 in a 22" barrel?"....grin!
1 cajillion times better.
T,
Here is a Selway bull from a couple of years ago. I wasn't the shooter, just the guide. For those that care about such things, this bull had an ear tag and was the oldest recorded bull ever tagged in Idaho....at least according to the IDFG Regional Office in Nampa.
Dave
How old did they say it was?
Lousy pic of a Nevada bull, through the spotter. My brother punched his muzzy tag on a raghorn a couple days later.
Found half a rack out turkey hunting a couple years ago. Looked for the other side but no luck.
Don’t let it die.
Pic quality sucks from my phone but all I got
Have lots of pics but going to have to work on this posting them situation
I pick a little bone too.
Montana 2019

Great pic! If a taxidermist could recreate that pose in a mannequin he’d make a million dollars!
Gnarly ol Rosie bull 8-10 miles from my place
Rosie bull I ended up killin last year, my #2 pick bug he worked.
Before...
After.... grin
My #1 pick

None of my bulls were very big and my pictures leave a lot to be desired in most cases. Some are pictures of hard copies. But here are a few that I’ve taken..
Original pic taken by Judd Cooney. Rifle in green Brown Classic stock is a 340 Wby. ~100 yds.
475 yds at dusk.
Blaser R92 30-06 400 yds.
Idaho, about 150 yds.
Ruger RH 45 Colt. Maybe 30-40 yds.
Bull on the table: excellent roast.
Bowhunting — too much chasing girls and getting chased by the big boys.
Rifles Inc. 284 Win ~100-125 yds.
Looking on:
Bowhunting.

[url=https://postimg.cc/RWWWtwx4]A friend with my biggest. 425 yds.
My elk hunting archery outfit that I never took an elk with. The rug is from a bison.
My friend’s great bull from the Wind Rivers. 270; 150-gr Nos Part 200 yds.
My best friend’s last bull before he passed away two months after this hunt. This was the last night of the hunt and I’d passed up a few bulls and I chose to hunt with him for one last hoorah. Nothing was happening so we hauled butt to a dirt tank 30 minutes before dark. We’d only been for about 15 mins when we heard a bull blow down the canyon. Knowing he probably wouldn’t make it to the tank with enough time to shoot we made a move. I told Trev to use my rifle as his had taken a tumble that morning. Luckily the bull bugled a couple more times enough for us to pinpoint him. He was pushing a cow and and a quick spike bugle stopped him and Trev smokes him!! As we were there watching him I looked down and right there was a mountain lion skull!! I whisper yelled look at that! He was still watching the bull and said yeah he’s down, I said no look at this and grabbed the skull! Crazy find. As we walked up to the bull we embraced and he thanked me, I thanked him for being my friend and for some reason I teared up. At the time I couldn’t figure out why, a short two months later I knew.

Great story. That’s about as great a story I’ve heard friends as I’ve ever read.
Nice 5x6
Damn that 5 side is a giant !

Great bull and story. What happened to him if ya don't mind me askin?
Busted bull we passed. And passed. And passed. And when we decided to go after him we couldn’t find him. Figures.
He was crossing a rural train crossing. The sun was setting just right and he never saw the train. Near as we could tell. Never accelerated nor hit the brakes.
Sorry man. Lost a good pard about 14 months ago. Used to take my boy huntin when I had to work, did a lot a killin together here, Idaho and Montana, still think about him everyday. Had a massive heartattack one Sunday morning in front of his wife and kids. His last bull
Great story and memory.

Thanks fellas. Sorry for your loss too Judman. Just a reminder how delicate life is and how we should appreciate every day!
Tough losing a good one .

Damn bud....
Damn, you all are about to make me tear up.
Somewhere I have 35mm pics of my old man's last bull. Nothing special, a small 4x5 2 year old rag archery kill. Still got the rack at home.
Also have a 35mm of the first and only elk killed by one of my only true friends. We had a pack train blow up getting that bull out, well after dark, which made things even funner. He's no longer with us either.

Ya he was 56, appeared to be in great shape, go getter. Used to tease him he was old enough to be my dad!! Haha

Truth, that’s why once huntin season rolls around, my ol lady just shakes her head! Haha
Killed this bull a few years ago....
Only to have this bull walk into about 150 yards from me just a little while later. It hurt pretty badly watching him walk away unscathed. My kingdom for that 5 minutes back to do it differently.
Here’s one from back in the day. I’m sorry I can’t figure out how to rotate it. Anyway this is my Grandad and two of his best friends, both of his buddies are gone now, in camp back around 68-71 somewhere in that timeframe. Grandad is the tall guy on the left, Leon in the middle was the lucky hunter that killed the bull.
My last 2 MT bull elk. I'm getting older, lazier, and pickier. The mountains are getting bigger, & it seems like the elk are fewer and farther between on public land in SW MT. These were hard earned.

Nice bulls friendo....;)
LOL.... that kid has a horseshoe up his a$$.. That said he absolutely earned every one of them. What a great kid.
Old son got this 6x6 in 2010. As a result of this photo we named him Jeremiah’s Johnson!
Elk in the SF Bay Area
a youngster trying spread his genetics
on my property. come on to calve hang out a mon th before heading up into higher elevation
Cool pics guys. I've shot one elk in my life, and plan to do so again.
My last bull 2 years ago... we were both older, half deaf, half blind, broken and missing parts... still trying to be relevant. 13th day, a long morning and 3 miles, the herd bedded down and I saw this bull coming down the slope, called and he came up to 25 yards and it was over, finished packing him out at twilight the next day.
Kent
Not much compared to most of the bulls already posted, but special to me. My one and only so far. Idaho this past September.
Archery bull from last fall.
