when you consider some of the third degree asswipe trolls who have come through here for the sole purpose of insulting everybody in sight and managed to hang around for months or years, I think you have to admit the institutional culture here is pretty much laissez faire. Posters defend their own space and reputation as they deem necessary or desirable.

folks who aren't comfortable with that get all sandy, and want somebody to come save them or prevent hurt feelers.

if you don't like a post, don't read it. If you don't like a poster, ignore him. but don't whine about it.

I can live with that. Taking this thought to the end, though, it means the stated rules upon sign up are superfluous.

And "have only rules yor are willing AND able to enforce" is a pretty basic concept of human interaction.

Geez John..The point being I never called anyone anything..Never once have I called someone here a bad name or a cuss word that I recall..Never needed to as know one here upsets me in anyway until they start name calling and acting like children and even then,I don't blurt out obscenities.

What you are essentially wishing for is more civility.

It ain't gonna happen, and to say you wish for it, is to call the dogs upon yourself. BTDT.

This is an unmoderated forum for all practical purposes and has become even more so in the last couple years. It is what it is. It's part of what gives it it's "juice".

While I certainly join you in wishing for a bit more civility (ruh roh, now I've gone and done it, grin), you need to be realistic here. It is what it is. Just relax and roll with it and don't get "sandy" and you'll have more fun.

Just don't do what I did. I got frustrated and became as much an azzhole as those that are driving you nuts, at least towards certain people I did. I had to leave a while and get my head straight as to why I come here, then come back kind of self-neutered <grin>. Just skip over the part where you try to fight with the guys bugging you, and go straight to letting it wash over you, is my advice. For what it's worth, which probably ain't much!

Geez logcutter..The point being I never played the victim card or anything..Never once have I been a victim, had my puzzy hurt or whine like a virgin on prom night that I recall..Never needed to as I know I don't wear my emotions on my sleeve in anyway. I was curious, so I had my wife read the post to check her response..

She's now taken to the bed with a severe case of the vapors and undoubtedly requires hospitalization, but our health insurance doesn't cover internet induced swoons.

The very worst thing a man can do in battle,is loose his cool.One of my good old friends that was a Navy Seal always told me...Focus...And it turned into a joke of some sort but he was and is so right..Don't loose track of the issue in front of you and loose the edge anger gives.
