Re: WTB: 1187 vent rib barrel 160user 05/05/24
I would need to double check but I believe I have a complete set of Premier wood along with an 11-87 26 inch Rem Choke gun I can just scrap out. I will check in the morning.

Might be the one that was playing when I went into the small engine repair place today.

Laughed when I walked in and asked the dude "Is that country rap crap?"

"Yep, country rap" he replied.

For me, it kinda beats the bro country stuff.

WTB: 1187 vent rib barrel msinc 05/05/24
I need an 1187 vent rib barrel. Not too worried about the condition. Prefer it to at least not be all pitted up, but will consider all. My receiver is the Premier, so I'd also like it to be a blued/polished barrel, but again, will consider all. Also would like to find a set of decent premier stocks too. Not looking for anything free, but I aint exactly stupid either.....Thanks in advance for reading this!!!!

Could be where the dip stick goes in, hope it's not, you would need to pull the pan to repair it correctly. Ford used a organic 😎, plastic for this part, they crack and leak.

There are two methods to do this in the truck.

One converts it to an outside gasket. (Much less expensive) Follow the video directions and use a heavy duty coat hanger to capture the piece and remove the o-ring...do not drop it.

https://www.riffraffdiesel.com/dipstick-adapter-repair-kit-7-3l-94-03/

The other is a big aluminum piece that replaces the existing one. Again do not drop the o-ring and the old tube adapter drops to the bottom. Follow the video directions on you tube and print.

If you don’t have patience and mechanical skills, pay someone to do it.

Prepaid card bought with cash?

Here in PA it wouldn't matter.

The state police do our background checks, and keep the records.

Someone took that to the Supreme Court, but the dumb asses filed under equal protection instead of simple privacy or second ammendment.
The court ruled it was equal, they butt fxxked everyone equally.

Yep. Tight as ever.

I got home about 10 minutes before the start and took over the TV from my wife and SIL.

We all agreed it was an amazing finish.
Came in from doing stuff, saw the time, watched them bring the horses around and Riders Up, and then the race. Muted any commercials.

Race was a good one, thought the winner made a big mistake running on the rail, figured he'd get squeezed back. Nope, smart move it was.

Re: Honda poor customer service WYcoyote 05/05/24
Went to look at a new Toyota Highlander that was on the dealer's website for the wife. It had everything on it we wanted, int. and ext. colors too.

It wasn't on the lot, salesman said it was around the back, waiting on a recall to be done. He drove it around to the front so we could check it out, but wouldn't let us drive it.

Said it might be six weeks to get fixed.

They changed the engine from the old reliable V-6 to a 2.4L 4-cylinder turbo too, WTF?

Pa has a thing where you can have your license listed as inactive.
I still have a cdl, still on the card, but I'm listed as inactive and I have to present
a current physical, then I'm reactivated.

Gave up my Hazmat a couple cycles ago,

$100 plus for the background checks and fingerprinting, having to retest every renewal. Getting a new endorsement is exactly the same, except a $5 permit fee before you test. That was an easy one!

You can't just test for cdl anymore.
You have to have a certain number of hours under a certified trainer.
Another racket pushed by the schools and mega carriers.
A boy driving dad's dump truck, had ridden with dad for years.
Dad can't teach him the job, then let him prove himself to the tester.
Nope. That kid gotta pay Da Man Da Money.
Even if that Nitwit had a whole year driving an automatic for
Johnnie (B Swft) Schneider.
And Dad was a cigar chewing two sticker for 30 years.

Sorry japlover, somehow I missed your post.

Pretty sure the certified trainer thing is nationwide.

Kent, do a little research on Dworshak reservoir. I never managed to get up there but friends in the area told me the smallmouth fishing can be fantastic. With some big ones.

https://idfg.idaho.gov/press/smallmouth-bass-state-record-falls-once-more

Not sure about the Clearwater, but the Snake in that area around Lewiston and above holds smallies and such too.

Oh ya, I'm a smallie fisherman!

Trump and the RNC raise over $76 million in the month of April. Suspected that the response for fundraising partially stems from Trump’s treatment that he has received while in the courtroom.

Re: Gettysburg 7mmbuster 05/05/24
Pete was wearing slippers that day, having injured his foot earlier in the campaign when “Hero” had slipped and fell on it.
Imagine a Corps commander in the Confederate Army wearing slippers while he and members of his staff, are serving a 12 pounder which cannoneers had already been killed in combat!😎
I’m gonna have Mike back me up, as I know he remembers the story better than I.
Longstreet and several others were on foot, scoping out what was in front of them.
IIRC, D H Hill joined them on horseback, and as mounted soldiers often drew cannon fire, was told to dismount.
He refused, and a Yankee gun fired from 3/4s of a mile away. “That one is for you, General Hill” said Pete, and no sooner were the words spoken when a solid shot removed the front legs from Hill’s horse!
Leonidas Polk was killed at Kennesaw Mountain by a well placed shot from a 10 Pounder Parrot rifle from a mile away! Legend has it that after the gunner had lined up the sight, he offered the lanyard to General Sherman!
That Civil War artillery was both accurate and deadly!
