We used a2’s in basic and A4’s in fleet when I was in. Tried m4’s but always go back to 20” barrels and with 77’s are about the only way I shoot my ar’s any more. Suppressors make guns dirty, but would like to try a 11.5 with piston and can.

So far, I haven’t found the stupidity of Lincoln as many here accuse him of. Lee and Davis were stupid. Lincoln was Evil! Setting aside the question of whether he lived the words, or which side better exemplified them, does anyone have a problem with his address? Have we maintained the increased devotion to that cause? Have those honored dead died in vain? Very sad. Before you go getting to sad consider the source.

Lee might have made several mistakes but he was far from stupid. Absolutely! ^^^^^. Lee was a tremendous leader. Ok. I will restate: strategy without tactics is the longest path to victory. Tactics without strategy is only the noise before defeat. The South had no strategy. Lees tactics were spectacular. Spectacular noise that brought not just defeat. Destruction.

308 BA 147gr fmj chrono 16.5" bbl.
Hesp
05/03/24
This us given strictly as info. Absolutely safe in my bolt action 16.5" 308. I used 49grs of Win 760/H-414. CCI 200 LRP. 10' in front of my chrono, 2578fps. For what ever it is worth to you as info. Not recommending this load to use in your rifle, but safe in mine. As always work up a load from below. Should be well below 50,000psi. Longer Bbls should register a higher velocity.

Had a trip planned a few years ago to take my best friend. He'd always wanted to see it, but his cancer took him before we could go. I need to make the trip for him.

Re: The great 458 Winchester. Everyone should own one at least once

As an aside. I used to have a CZ 458 lott and was looking over my reloading data which confirms Riflecranks and others findings to a T. I noted short throat issues with an inability to adjust seating depth as desired. I noted a lack of versatility in loads at the time. While I didn't recognize it at the time it made for an aha! Moment when I started getting serious about 458 win load development and ran across this thread a few years ago.
