And just think all she had to do was wait until she got home rather than fondle herself on a public beach in front of young kids. I feel badly. And now it’s passed.

I also developed a 145 LRX load for my 7mm RM with Reloder 23 and got results similar to Taco2fiddy7. I haven't used it on game yet, but my results on game with other LRX bullets have been very good.

Okay, it seems the answers have been lost to antiquity (if 1985 qualifies as antiquity) but I finally found a mention of this difference.

Both revolvers lock at the rear of the cylinder as do Smiths and Colts and most all revolvers.

The Security Six uses a latch which engages the front of the ejector rod like S&W. It uses a single mainspring to power the hammer and the trigger return.

The GP100 uses a separate latch at the front of the crane and separate mainspring and trigger return springs.

I installed an 8 pound Wolff trigger return spring and 10 pound mainspring in the GP100 pictured above and the SA trigger now breaks consistently at 2 3/4 pounds. DA pull is somewhere over 8 pounds - that's as high as my RCBS gauge goes. I dare say it feels lighter with a more consistent pull weight throughout than my untuned K frame Smiths and a Colt Officers Model Match, the latter having a very stacking trigger.

Heresy, perhaps, but I'll stand on that statement. The mass of the GP100 certainly helps in keeping the sight picture undisturbed during the DA pull but I can just hit better with it in DA mode than my Smiths. To keep the Inquisition off my back I'll confess that the Smiths do have a cleaner SA pull with little or no overtravel, the Ruger has lots of it.

Which has nothing to do with a Security Six but I got on a roll here and couldn't stop. wink

Heads Up On Some Great Optics gr8fuldoug Yesterday at 02:56 PM

Binoculars & Spotting Scopes You May Not Know About

There's some great optics that do not get the exposure as others. The manufacturer doesn't do a ton of marketing and perhaps this is why you may be missing out. We thought we'd take the time to clue you in on some outstanding optics that are worth taking the time to familiarize yourself with.

In no particular order.......

Burris Signature HD 15x56mm Binocular - This high quality binocular is only $799.99 and is made in Japan.
15X MAGNIFICATION - Bring distant objects closer than ever.
EXCEPTIONAL CLARITY - Bak-4 glass with Phase Correct, dielectric coating for precise resolution and true-to-life colors.
LOW LIGHT VISIBILITY - Maximum light transmission for low-light conditions.
RUGGED CONSTRUCTION - Built to withstand the toughest environments with a shockproof body and durable rubber armor.
WEATHERPROOF - Nitrogen-filled for reliability in all conditions.
TRIPOD ADAPTER MOUNT - Achieve steady observations of fine details.
COMFORTABLE DESIGN - No-slip texturing, a cushy neoprene neck strap, and metal eyecups for eye relief adjustment.

Hawke Endurance ED 20-60x68 Spotting Scope - Priced way less than you'd expect from the features and quality (add to cart to see special pricing). In the under $1,000.00 category this scope is a winner and has been totally overlooked due to lack of marketing. It comes out of the same factory as many of the very popular spotters and this unit is 20-60x68 vs the others that are 15-45x65 and this scope also has 2 touch focus, general focus + a fine focus.
"Endurance ED spotting scopes provide the performance to get close to the action and the durability you demand. All magnifications are constructed with ED glass reducing the potential for chromatic aberration. ED glass controls color fringing and allows an improvement in clarity and crispness of the image, highly recommended by nature enthusiasts. All lenses are Fully Multi-Coated and prisms Dielectric Coated for increased reflectivity. Endurance scopes feature a dual focus knob (coarse and fine), 3x ratio eyepieces
with twist-up eye cups and retractable sunshades."

Makrolon® housing is durable polycarbonate with NBR Long Life rubber armoring, creating a lightweight, rugged chassis that withstands 11 Gs of impact. Impervious to harsh conditions for generations of trusted use.
N2 injection™ system seals 14-psi pressurized dry nitrogen into the optic, for fogproof clarity in any condition - from artic cold to desert heat.

Revic Acura S65a Spotting Scope Kit - "The Revic Acura Spotting Scope was designed for the long range shooter. Featuring a 18X fixed power reticle eyepiece, the Acura spotting scope excels in shooter/spotter scenarios, enabling the operator to spot impacts and give accurate calls and corrections to the shooter. The Longest Yard 7mmbuster Yesterday at 02:39 PM
Found a double dvd of these two in the bargain bin at Walmart.
The original from ‘74 with Burt Reynolds is one of my favorites. And I had never seen the re-make, only bits and pieces. Not nearly as good as the original, but as re-makes go, it’s not bad.
In 1974, Reynolds was one of the top actors, but I’m much more fond of “White Lightning” and “Gator”, but then those are more car movies.
Love Burt thrashing that Citroen in the opening scene. One of the better car chases from any movie.

I have never liked refunds that force you to use it on a return in-store purchase.

Re: DNA results from Hidalgo County ocelot stir debate over where it came from kwg020 Yesterday at 02:38 PM
Mountain lions (cougars) started showing up about 15 years ago in Iowa. There have also been sightings of black bears in northeast Iowa. I'm sure a wolf or 2 has snuck across the frozen Mississippi into northeast Iowa as well. To me it all revolves around one animal, deer. If you find deer you are going to fine predators. I know the Iowa deer population has grown considerably since the 1950's. There have even been reports of elk in Iowa. The predators are going to go where the food is. IN my part of the state that has been deer.

Yes, predator protection has played a part but a den cannot survive without food. And that has been deer. In the southern States my guess is pigs are a big draw. Just my assessment.

Thoughtful list. Kinda funny. Who needs a wall if there’s no incentive to come and you most certainly will not be allowed to stay? And if you are America First! Why would you care about Israel’s hair? Balls , or [bleep] genocidal wars strategically jeopardizing our future and making us hated world wide for their amoral savagery?

It's a starter wish list.
Most of my list he can do without Congress.
And I don't expect the f****** [bleep] in Congress to help him at all.
In fact if the democommies would happen to get control of the House of Representatives again the first thing they'll do is impeach Trump.
He's going to be limited on what he can do. More so than last time.
That doesn't mean he can't do some good
Actually kinda surprised Trump is still breathing..........
