BTW, for those interested, we weighed that buck before field dressing and he was just under 250 pounds.
On our scale and the state scales at the check station he weighed 210 dressed weight.
My buddy killed one that afternoon that weighed 274 pounds OTH. Field dressed he was 228.

Interesting stats on live weight and field dressed it pretty much mirrors the formula I use which is a factor of 120.
120 x 210# = 252#
120 x 228# = 274#
