I'm with you on this one. I have a M70 Super Grade in 300 Win Mag that has a Bushnell Elite 3000 3-9 50mm scope. It's beautiful, but just too heavy and long to carry around in the woods near me. I won't sell it though. My late hunting buddy used that rifle to shoot a bull moose in Newfoundland when we went together in 2001. When he passed his widow said he would want me to have one of his guns. I have only shot it once to sight it in for 180 gr. just in case I ever decide to hunt with it. It's one of my sentimental favorites, but just not anything I would have picked out or am likely to use. It will ride the safe (and look good doing it) until my heirs try to figure out what to do with it.
