I never use to, but at 60 open sights are hard for me to see unless it's high noon on a sunny day. I scoped a Marlin I had but frankly to me a scope ruins the attribute that make a lever action feel so nice to me. If it has a scope I'd rather have a bolt action which is why I don't hunt my lever action much any more.
