I will add that a factory 700 Sendero/Rem Varm contour typically has 3/4" of straight shank before making the first taper. I had LRI install my barrel on that VLS clone with a .750" shank so it could drop into most stocks cut for a Rem Varm or Sendero contour. Bear that in mind when seeing which lesser contours will drop into a stock inletted for the Sendero. A lesser contour with a 2" shank may require extra fitting at the back and have a considerable gap though front and midsection of the forend. Do a little math before ordering and you can rest easier.
