All these numbers is confusing and pretty much unnecessary.

Keep it simple.

The .270 is for women and frail men.

The .280 is for manly men.

That's what I read, anyway, back in the day when Jack O'Carmichael was expounding on the merits of said such .280 in Outdoor Fields.
